@wixrom05 @oiler3535 @freedombleeds You haven't even demonstrated the fine tuning, let alone the source of it. Also, how have you reliably ruled out that we could be in a simulation? Why isn't that a candidate possibility?

@LoftusSteve @hector_drummond Let's pretend we're back in the 1960s. Knowing what you know now, you have a choice whether to allow Pakistani migration or not. Do you press the "allow migration" button knowing it will eventually lead to 250k+ child rapes, or do you veto it? Allow or veto Steve?

@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD giving is more just down to inertia. I think a lot of boomers, because of the time they grew up in, just don't have a very robust perspective of how the social contract has changed in many ways since they were young/working age.

@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD cash from their adult child to try and encourage them into a particular behaviour is not the same as the child taking accountability for themselves. This is to say, their kids could be working very hard & that wouldn't necessarily make the parents more inclined to be more giving

@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD I don't see how giving your children financial help negates that responsibility? Say you win a large sum of money in the lottery. Has your responsibility to your family been compromised from that win?

@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD financial help is some lazy layabout. I'm not saying it should be expected. But again, I go back to my point that not helping your kids could be ANTITHETICAL to goals those boomers want to achieve.

@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD Why aren't you recognising that some boomers will think that their kid's happiness and having lots of grandchildren is more important than their kids having to work hard?
@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD I never said that. You've read something that was never written. I'm saying boomers hoarding the money they have can be ANTITHETICAL to outcomes they want, such as their kids being happy and them having lots of grandchildren. Why aren't you recognising that?

@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD No and I don't see any counter points from you. The point is boomers are oblivious to even outcomes they *want* to happen. How many boomers want more grandkids and yet won't help out their own kids financially to make that happen?

@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD I'm not saying it's any parents' duty. But come on, surely their kid's happiness is a priority for them It takes a special kind of obliviousness for those boomer grandparents to prioritise their 4th cruise in a year over their struggling kids who can't afford more grandchildren

@DupX10 @freddy_berman @gwindor20xx @treblewoe @CardoneMD No YOU missed the point. Who the fuck cares about kids working hard, your kid's happiness should be the priority. Boomers have their priorities all messed up and if they haven't instilled the work ethic they wanted to by the time their kids are adults maybe THEY fucked up

@wixrom05 @oiler3535 @freedombleeds How is the universe "insanely fine tuned"? What are you comparing this universe against to assess its "fine tuning"?

@wixrom05 @oiler3535 @freedombleeds How have you ascertained the likelihood? No it wasn't choosing sin or not. They had no understanding of what sin even was. They were only told not to eat from it, no explanation was given for why it was wrong to do so. Also why place the tree there in the first place?!
