New paper led by my wonderful friend and coauthor @aneeshrai17. Top-line insight: larger homogeneous groups are more likely to diversify than smaller ones. Ironically, this means large homogeneous groups are surprisingly rare (and small ones are excessively common).
Does a homogeneous group's size matter for how it’s seen and if it’s diversified? Yes! Our new @OrganizationSci paper suggests decision-makers neglect gender and racial homogeneity in smaller groups while investing extra effort to diversify larger homogeneous groups
