Oct 7 was a huge (& tragic) anomaly. During 15 YEARS before that, hamas killed 308 israelis total, incl IDF-soldiers (while israel killed 6400 palestinians incl 2500 children). Israel has known for years that the security at the border was weak. Been warned of an attack like this
