Source: Texas Tech QB Tyler Shough broke his fibula during today’s game vs West Virginia. The 6-5, 230-pound senior had already amassed 9 total TDs through the Red Raiders’ first three games. I’m told Shough will require surgery.

Ty Gibbs won his first kart race @GoProMotorplex on June 6th, 2015. Nearly six years ago. I finished second in that race, and we had this cool moment after the finish. Now he is an @NASCAR_Xfinity winner on debut. 2,086 days later. Time flies.

There’s a legitimate argument for this being the best individual performance for any Tech player in the last 20 years. The sheer volume isn’t insane but to drop 30 on 12 shots with a varied shot diet while also being the best defender on the court… insane.

Couple of things I want to get off my chest:. TJ fought incredibly hard during his time at Tech, and quite honestly it was pretty disgusting how much his demeanor and effort were mischaracterized by some people, both in the fanbase and in the media (you know who you are).

I'm going to say this and probably get slandered for it:. Don't come after Coach Beard on Tweets where he's congratulating his former players who played at Tech. it just looks very petty and misses the point of the entire exchange. Almost any other Tweet? Fair game.

The implications of this:. - Tech goes to the line for a 1/1 down by 1. - McCullar fouls out.- Tech gets a chance at the last shot. I just don’t see how you don’t call that. The ref was there. Yes it’s a lane ending but rules are rules and Tech lost on a soft call 3 days ago.
Good ole McCullar barreling his way through and fouling, never getting called for it in tight in game situations.

You had a 4th and 2 at the 6 yard line and kicked a field goal to go up 34-21. That changes almost nothing with 11 minutes left. Whereas going up 38-21 would’ve made it a 3-score game and forced TCU to play almost perfect football. Then the end-of-game management (1/2).

On a serious note- I wish nothing but the best for Buzo. Obviously I have my own biases because of how highly I view him as a player, but he continued to stay supportive and engaged even when he was clearly out of the rotation. That speaks volume. Great player, better person.

Keenan Evans made a very similar mistake to TJ in 2017 vs. KU… shot from halfcourt with nearly 3 seconds left when he probably could’ve gotten to the midrange. Nobody ever questions Keenan’s clutch ability. He learned and adjusted. He was a heck of a player then too.
