I will be interested to hear from
@deirdreheenan
on her thoughts of Naomi running in East Belfast AND staying as Justice Minister. Heenan had a lot to say about Robin. Hope she gives Naomi the same treatment.
🚨❗️BREAKING:
@allianceparty
Leader and Justice Minister
@naomi_long
will be standing as a candidate in the East Belfast constituency in the General Election.
🎤Political Reporter
@jamesgould23
will hear from her later today.
DUP: boycotted the Assembly for 2 years
UUP: advocated tirelessly for the return of Stormont
UUP: running in constituencies for election
DUP: UUP selfish to run without talking to other unionist parties
Was it not selfish of the DUP to hold the Assembly at ransom for 2 years?🤷🏼♀️
@deirdreheenan
@RobinSwann_MLA
Hi Deirdre, I'm waiting patiently for you to create a similar post about Long. At least Robin is standing down, Naomi isn't. Can we have your thoughts on this. Many thanks😊
It might be drizzly and damp but it’s still beautiful in Dromore and Lagan Valley. Delivering on our message of

&
#Change
as we build a

across Norther Ireland
Apparently, the town is full of political reps today. I have to say that
@RobbieButlerMLA
is the only politician who ever takes the time to call, ask how things are, and, even better today, he brought me tea and a bun!
In 2022, both Sinn Fein & the DUP pledged an additional £1 billion to the health budget, but today they cut Department of Health funding by £184m.
The UUP remains committed to delivering health sustainability and transformation.
#makeNIwork
The fact that the
@duponline
have now decided to steal the UUPs slogan of
#makeNIwork
is compeltely laughable. They didn't care for making NI work a year ago when they all boycotted the Assembly. Oh but wait, yes, there's an election in 6 weeks and they need your vote! Chancers!
Robbie and his team are out on the ground today, answering your questions and addressing your concerns👇🏼
He has you and Lagan Valley at the heart of everything he does!

for genuine representation at Westminster 🗳✅️
Sick to the back teeth of animal cruelty in this country. The penalties and punishments are too small and this needs to be reviewed immediately by the PSNI and DAERA.
I lost my dad to prostate cancer after he ignored signs for years. Late diagnosis is often due to a lack of understanding of the signs.
So, if you're male, 40+ and haven't had a PSA test done, I recommend booking in - it could save your life.
Robbie is one of the hardest working Members in the Assembly, and he will be an asset in Westminster, representing both his constituency and the people of Northern Ireland.
#votebutlerX
The
@duponline
boycott failed and left this country without a government for two years and they weren't overly concerned to
#MakeNIWork
. But the
@uuponline
did care and have used the solgan for over a year... so why has the DUP decide to use it now???
“We are seeing a growing support across the constituency for Robbie Butler and a very distinctive shift in the pro union electorate. We would expect to see any Westminster election being between Robbie and the Alliance party."
The Alliance Party’s Westminster election campaign in Lagan Valley is well underway, and framed as a fight between themselves and the DUP – despite the party citing a criminal investigation into Sir Jeffrey Donaldson as a reason not to answer questions ...
Only man for the job in Lagan Valley 👇🏼
Dedicated, hard working, and putting you first!✅️

on July 4th is a much needed opportunity to bring the needed change and refresh to the Green benches at Westminster.
NI really does need reliable, focused persuasive politicians making the case for everyone in Northern Ireland. Every voter, every constituent deserves
Bit ironic that the
@uuponline
has been using the "Make NI Work" slogan for easily over a year now but somehow the
@duponline
decide to use it in the run up to the election? Could yous not think of anything yourselves?

Sorry Emma but

is the

slogan. Click the hashtag to even check. Could yous not be more creative? You didn't care to make NI work when you boycotted the Assembly for 2 years!

I lost my dad two years ago because he ignored signs of prostate cancer, thinking they would "go away." They didn't go away, & unfortunately, he had a late diagnosis showing stage M4.
If you have any concerns about any signs or symptoms, please contact your GP.

Teams out in Dollingstown, Magheralin, Holstein/Ayrshire and Co Down today. 4 amazing teams smashing the positive

@JulieACorr
I don't see East becoming AP. Naomi probs isn't running and I doubt McReynolds will be able to get the same support. Similarly, Hanna has a huge personal vote in South, I don't see that going to the AP.
UUP MLA Mike Nesbitt takes aim at Jim Allister, who is searing in his criticism of the DUP ending its NI Protocol protest and returning to power-sharing.
The former UUP leader: "If Mr Allister's analysis is correct, why has he ended his boycott of this assembly?"
@BBCNewsNI
@MartinG1492
I'm more specifically talking about the media in this case. The media and twitter had a lot to say about Robin, yet no doubt will be radio silence over Naomi. The fact she is staying as Justice Minister shows she is scared to not be Minister if unsuccessful in EB.

Alan, Tim Collins is holding a final Town Hall event next Friday (31st) at 7.30pm in the Donaghadee Community Centre. He has completed two other events previously in Bangor and Holywood over last few weeks

Additionally, people keep forgetting, Jeffrey was originally elected as an Ulster Unionist. A lot of those voters are potentially still Ulster Unionist. Robbie has a really good chance.
@jillybeattie
@PoliceServiceNI
@Daera
I completely agree. There needs to be a comprehensive review of all existing animal welfare legislation. The Minster said it was a priority for him and his party, and I've seen no action yet. He even ruled out an animal cruelty register.
@duponline
#makeNIwork
is the
@uuponline
slogan and has been for over the last year and used by them since 2015. Have yous no ability to think of something original?
Click the hashtag to even see its the UUPs slogan.....
@DGuyUUP
@CCIDERRY
I genuinely don't see the need for election posters these days. Social media is enough that if you want to know anything about a candidate, you google their name. Seeing the same persons face on a lamppost won't convince me to vote for them, I need to know what they stand for!
@JohnHanna
The UUP have used it for over a year, glad to know the DUP felt like it was a good one and worked, but sad they had no creativity of their own to think of an original one for themselves 🥴
@realZacTC
@Tracybelfast1
#makeNIwork
is the
@uuponline
slogan. Seems a bit strange that the
@duponline
have to steal it from the UUP.
Also, there's no debate on the slogan, just click the hashtag to view the work the UUP has done over the last year whilst the DUP boycotted the Assembly 😊
@realZacTC
Yet, you endorse the DUP and continue to use the slogan... okay... also, at least the UUP have been consistent with their message. Pity the DUP have to scaremonger just to gain votes.
Absolutely heartbreaking news this evening.
Having lost a parent to cancer, I know how difficult and devastating it is for everyone involved.
I hope people can be kind and give Catherine, and her family, the privacy they deserve at this sad time.
@realZacTC
Nah, but just shows the DUP has no creativity to think of their own. No doubt ELP will be using "First Minister for All" next election.
Maybe try being more creative next time, or accurate, since the DUP didn't want NI to work for 2 yrs but when there's an election, they do🤷🏼♀️
Sinn Féin has said it will not run candidates in four constituencies in NI in the general election - Belfast East, Belfast South and Mid Down, Lagan Valley and North Down.
@derrycrimson12
Yes, clearly party before unionism whenever the UUP wanted the Assembly to be restored for two years whilst the DUP happily let it fail the people of Northern Ireland. God forbid the Ulster Unionist Party wanted to offer NI alternative unionism...
