This painting is now framed and will start its journey traveling around as a public piece of art. I left her in Florida with a full heart. It was a privilege working on this painting and I hope that many hearts will be blessed by it. Mary, Overshadowed Oil on panel 40x60

Please take the time to read this new essay of mine from @EkstasisMag: "In the Presence of Mine Enemies." It is the most important thing I have written for some time, and I hope will encourage you. (Link in reply below, or available on the submersible stacks.)

@joynessthebrave Yes, the Artist’s Way gives voice to so much of the internal dialogue, doubt, and struggles that artists face. I would love to see this idea explored!

@ClairedeLuned If this is the case, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Gather with trusted believers and pray against that darkness. It may take some time.

@emilykmay This may be gross to some people, but unless the food is rotting, rancid, or canned wrong, it is fine. Expiration dates don’t matter much except for meat and uncultured dairy products. Unless an onion is liquifying on my counter, it’s fair game. 😅

@IsobelSottoVoce I started a watercolor sketchbook just for fun around age 26. When I was 32 I enrolled in a 3 year classical atelier program. No degree, just learning from a local master. After that I continued my education through workshops with professionals in the representational art world.
