If wives / moms are being honest. How many of them have empty stockings on Christmas unless they buy something for themselves. I fully support discourse recalibrating gender dynamics. Women can be as messed up as men. Men do neglect relationships. Their friends and wives.

I took the CLT my senior year of high school (after six years of homeschool classical education). The scholarship program I applied to for college included a section for me to report my CLT score.
The CLT is on a completely different level than the SAT or ACT. I remember

You cannot convince me that owning and saving books is a waste of money/space. I own three books that belonged to my great-great-grandfather, dated in the 1920s (a history textbook and some fiction) and I cherish them. Books are a repository for history and lineage.

Absolutely this. I just got married at 22. I grew up Christian and conservative. I’ve never called myself a feminist. Heck, I wrote a homeschool senior thesis on why “Christian feminism” is untenable. But nothing has given me more sympathy for the feminist movement than this
I’m about to be married at 24 & want a traditional marriage.. but nothing has ever made me want to be a RAGING feminist more than these people. There are millions of them. These posts are wildly popular. Good men need to shut this down and stop being scared of not seeming “based”

A lot of it is parents. I’ve seen many mothers and fathers push delayed marriage for my friends/peers (college-age kids), even when their son or daughter has been in a relationship of 3+ years and desires to be married. And for what?
Something disturbing I’ve become aware of as I’ve befriended more moms is how many of these women were given a lot of grief by their own mothers about having more than 2 maybe 3 kids. How much of this is parents actively discouraging their own kids from having kids?

I have some friends at a contemporary, non-denom church who started favoring head coverings recently (yes, bandana-style). I think young people are, somewhat surprisingly, looking for a return to traditionalism - wherever they can find it.
is it just me, or are u guys also seeing an uptick in head-covering among Christian women?
i’ve noticed it across denominations, although catholics/orthos seem to prefer a more traditional veil and protestants lean towards a modern bandana style. i wonder what’s causing it.
