As said on many replies, an official Godot Asset Store is in the works. Since we got the Foundation going, we've been trying to get it up and running, but there are many things to figure out before we can make it available to everyone.

I've been reading some Godot takes recently and I feel that many expectations for the project are stated without considering our current funding and team size of only 10 people. 1/5

After working alone in two different projects where I don't care about the code quality at all... I think this is the way.
The speed at which you can make a game when you don't think about design patterns is incredible.
They are handy when you need them, but not always.
⚠️ PSA: Rename "Godot" on your tutorials to "Godot 3". When version 4 comes out, you will get many people on your comment section asking why their code doesn't work. They will be trying to do your Godot 3 content in the Godot 4 editor 😅

Pretty happy with how the glossary is shaping up! You are now able to write extra lore for any word and players will be able to read more about that specific thing if they want to. All this happens automagically, so no need to add extra stuff :) 💬

I love to see that no one ever complains about GDScript being hard to learn 🤓 It is always about it missing an obscure feature that they like from another programming language.
So I call that a win! Most people who try it don't even comment about it, they just make the game.
Whenever I see angry tweets directed at any of us, I wonder whether those expectations could be revisited and adjusted to our current size. It is not fair to compare us to companies that have x200 times the staff and started many years before us. 5/5

We are working on it. But we need to make sure that everything is legally sound and that we don't risk any issues on the Foundation. We can't operate on current-event timelines, we can only do so much with our limited resources 😅

I hope to see a future generation of companies that embrace free and open-source models after the end of life of a product. There isn't any reason why this legacy games should be locked down forever.
Yet another time a corporation is trying to crush community efforts. Here are some other recent examples that come to mind, in games industry alone.
IMO we're at the point where it should be blatantly obvious that this system is anti-preservation, anti-creativity, anti-culture.
I would love to have an internal team making a game (dogfooding). I would love to have a team that can make console ports for every system there is. I would love to get a dedicated team supporting third-party vendors that are important for the business model of game studios. 2/5

Today's global outage revealed how many Windows machines still run critical infrastructure everywhere. I was in a bubble that assumed the majority of systems in airlines, hospitals, etc. ran on incredibly old but tailor-made software or Linux 😬
But it's just simply impossible to do all that with our current resources. If anyone has a way to make all that happen for ~50k/month that isn't paying sub-minimum wages to our contractors and making them crunch, then I'm happy to have a call and see what I'm missing. 3/5
Anyone willing to create a mock-up/proposal to address this design problem? Many of us got used to it, but I remember feeling frustrated with the current implementation. I'm interested in discovering potential solutions for this issue.

I did a mockup for a Dialogic redesign of the timelines. I want to give more clarity to the content and to what's really important without making the screen look like a rainbow. Thoughts?
While reviewing asset library submissions I find amazing plugins like this one. Would love to give them more visibility so I'll declare Phantom Camera the "Plugin of the Week"

There's a fake godot frontpage promoted on google that looks like godot's. Don't know if you were aware of this.
Can you do anything about it? Its first when doing a google search...
Most maintainers already know what things can be improved because they also want the same. Many are making their own projects, or they were already doing them before getting involved. The reality is that it is impossible to get there as fast as we are sometimes expected to. 4/5

We are so hyped, this is our new game ... *drum roll*
PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant
The game comes from a love of pressing satisfying buttons and a fascination of old cockpits.
Mix that with a bit of escape room and "Papers, Please" and you got PVKK.
Starting to port Dialogic to Godot 4… Errors, so many errors!
Our goal is to release Dialogic 2.0 beta for Godot 4 beta, so we still have some time. Expect more updates soon 🧑💻

The new Dialogic style will be released on v1.4
It is taking longer than usual because I'm a bit busy with work, but love working on this one whenever I have the chance. Still many things to update but it is getting there!
People falling for the most obvious engagement-bait from bluecheck accounts makes me think most of users forgot that they actually get paid the more angry you get. You aren't dunking on them and fixing any issue, you're just making them more money and amplifying their shitty take
Working on my next PR, this time for the home page. Still a lot of adjustments to make, but feeling good with the results so far.
