It's not too late to email your Senator, and @standwithcrypto makes it straightforward, so no excuses.
On Wednesday, the Senate will decide whether to re-nominate the SEC's most anti-crypto regulator. We must hold the government accountable to a pro-innovation future. Make your voices heard! 🔽

@jfhksar88 @RyanSAdams I don't think anyone is asking for "special or exempt". Just fair and reasonable.

The lack of clarity in the US and the effort to frighten Americans off cryptocurrency is frightening to anyone who believes that crypto has a significant role in the future and cares about America’s role as a thriving global leader.
PSA issued by the FBI today is...eerie. Don't use unregistered cryptocurrency money transmitting services btw if it's not in this database it's a no no... oh and is your code or wallet a msb? maybe maybe not but we're arresting privacy devs right now & calling them msbs so...

@mikewawszczak We need more research into the use cases in EMDEs. America is not the final frontier for DeFi use and innovation. Also, most “use cases” are looking for transaction values that rival current banking numbers, how many people were really utilising fractional reserve in 1477.

The SECs logic here is embarrassing, and “harmful to innovation” in the US.
I attended a talk last night with recently departed SEC crypto litigation leader Ladan Stewart, where she debated with @RebeccaRettig1 and @NYcryptolawyer over her agency's controversial approach. In one notable exchange, Stewart said the SEC does not view tokens as securities, but instead their offer and sale. "But then what do you register?" Rettig asked. Stewart answered that the token, plus “all the stuff around the token,” is the security. “You can’t obviously register all the stuff, but you can register the token.” “But we agreed that’s not the security, and that’s not the investment contract, either,” Rettig replied. “This is, I think, where the industry and the SEC have this divide, which is tell us what to do, and it’s hard to know.” Cohen jumped in. “It’s impossible, it’s not hard.”

The @brian_armstrong and Patrick Joyce conversation on @BanklessHQ 🙌🏼. With DeSci would research funding go on chain so we can have real transparency?
You'll know about DeFi, but what about DeSci? Decentralized science uses the benefits of blockchains for improved transparency, collaboration, and funding sources. More on how it works ⤵️

Yes…but who is Troy in this scenario. Concerned it’s DeFi’s decentralisation and privacy.
The most important result of Bitcoin ETF will be that it dissuades or even prevents governments from the harshest potential treatment of BTC (such as the impulse to outright ban it). When 50 million boomers own it passively, the political and economic damage from a ban will be significnatly less palatable. It's no longer just an asset for shadowy super coders. And it's absolutely a Trojan Horse about to be pulled through gates of Troy.
