Congratulations @lydia_rpm 🥳
🎉 Congratulations to Lydia Millar, who was awarded the Head of School Contribution Prize 2024. Accepting the prize, Lydia had these words: "I've nearly completed the first year of my PhD at the School of Law. I have had the pleasure of being the Postgraduate Research Student Representative and have enjoyed contributing to the School's Doctoral Studies Committee and Postgraduate Student Voice Committee. Alongside my studies, I have enjoyed working on a new clinical law project run by the Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) and the School of Law. As part of this, a small team of postgraduate students have been using open source information as evidence in documenting international law violations. Our work is currently being used in GLAN's court case against the UK over weapons exports to Israel. I also enjoy attending the School of Law's seminar series on a Friday afternoon and hearing about the fascinating research being produced by members of staff and fellow PhD students." Congratulations on your much-deserved success and recognition, Lydia.
