Hey
@VEA4Kids
, are you going to send out more of these grammar worksheets over break? My kids and I had a great time spotting errors! Did we find them all?
@nypost
Where is the
@NCAA
and
@IvyLeague
to protect female athletes who have worked their whole lives for this level of competition? As a former
@Div1SAAC
athlete myself, I’m saying THIS IS WRONG.
@txsalth2o
Sometimes I think going back to dumb phones for kids is the solution. Sure, they will need to be scaffolded into greater freedoms and responsibilities, but essentially pitting 14, 15 year olds against adult groomers and predators is yielding so many horrors.
@TIME
Of course it’s Rao 🙄
Race hustlers gotta grift, but I
@time
really shouldn’t platform one of the most appalling, open racists of her generation. Hating people because of immutable characteristics is terrible, and Rao normalizes it daily.
@KatrinaBiggs2
@anne_joseypye
It was hard enough to manage early periods in a girls’ bathroom with limited time between classes. This mixed-sex thing is pure cruelty.
@francesweetman
Terrible looking. And a one-piece for athletes w long torsos is extra miserable. I get the desire for form fitting, but this bizarre. Also the colors look blended and lame.
@nwlc
Are you kidding?! I’m a woman and a lawyer and a former college athlete, and you are way off base with this tweet.
Also, don’t refer to groups by terms made up for them by others that they themselves reject. It’s offensive and patronizing. “Cis woman” is a misogynist slur.
@SeaDeara
@RexDraws
Depends on how public you’re willing to go, but name and shame, toy know there are plenty of good GC writers who could help draw attention to this.
And I’m sorry your daughters went through this, and that the camp violated your trust.
@Cymbelin_13
@libsoftiktok
I think “decorum” is spot on - I sometimes hear young feminists decrying “taboos” around menstruation, but in the US it’s not shame, it’s a elf respect that we don’t have to gossip constantly about bodily functions. At least my friends don’t!
@D_B_Harrison
My 10yo advanced 4 grade levels in math and reading (according to standardized tests) in one year of homeschooling. Covid gave us the excuse to try it, and it’s been such a blessing.
@truththerapist
This is why im so worried about more therapists in schools to address the (very real) mental health crises among kids. Will they do more harm than good?
Arlington teachers union:
"The AEA calls on [the district] to provide testing to every student and staff member prior to returning to the classroom and/or remain virtual until January 18"
@amy_adhd
@RexDraws
Absolutely. This was my experience as well, and can’t imagine having to accommodate men and their fetishes in that sisterhood of infertility and ttc.
@FrankenforIowa
@ryanstruyk
What a disgusting take. Why can’t you see the difference between an opponent and an enemy? I’d report it but honestly I’d rather everyone see what sort of person you are.
@MaudMaron
@StandingforXX
@KDansky
@IWN
How could anyone with any self respect settle for a heckler’s veto? I guess they are incapable of talking about ideas. These men are pathetic.
My kids couldn’t write small enough to correct this letter but we shared some laughs and created this. I’d recently taught the 6yo about homophones, so the are/our mistake really cracked him up.

@FunkGodArtist
@ThePosieParker
@genspect
I’m very sorry about your abusive past. But just because you judge this man to be safe doesn’t mean other women should ignore the massive red flags he sets off.
@DrClaytonForre1
@KeenanPeachy
YES.
Or send your kid to live with grandma or cousins.
Get on Facebook and ask for help from local homeschoolers.
Ask a local religious school for a payment plan.
Switch jobs or shifts.
Anything rather than send YOUR KID into an abusive environment over and over again.
@popculture72632
@ask_aubry
You should always discuss kids and your expectations/ideals for raising them. Sure, plans change, but it’s important to share values, and inclination towards having an at-home parent vs two incomes is pretty significant.
@FlightOfGaruda
@growing_daniel
Solar power is great, is the collecting and storage of it that have huge environmental downsides, not to mention political risks as many of the necessary resources are controlled by adversaries or hostile govts. Plus it’s anti cyclical for heating in winter.
@ProVitaFamiglia
@RebelRae13
This cruelty towards both child and parents is not science, it’s power. Praying for this precious little one, and all who love her.
@ianpiepenbrock_
@historyinmemes
It means your dad probably did the same and you rolled your eyes at him once when you were 12, and he put the curse of the Piepenbrocks on you, just as his father had done to him…
@mal_theakstone
@nwlc
I’m a lawyer and a former college athlete, and I’ve come to conclude that a lot of lawyers and administrators and other opinion makers hate or at least don’t value sports. Ruining sports doesn’t matter to them in the least.
@ClownWorld_
@Mark_J_Perry
This is so abusive - this dude is in a position of power as the customer and uses it to force the server to validate him and thus participate in his fetish. Charges.
@MrAndyNgo
@JFKairport
This dude just sexually assaulted a TSA agent. The female agent should not be forced to touch male genitalia as part of her job.
Showed my boys Die Hard for the first time this evening. At bedtime:
6yo: Die hard! Die hard!
11yo: You’re the best mom ever.
8yo: Can we watch it again at Christmas?!
I have a feeling they’ve been listening in to
@jimgeraghty
and
@Dateline_DC
@mannedhandle
@RyanChandlerTV
@Natsecjeff
Time, place, and manner restrictions are constitutional. You can pretty much say what you want, but you don’t get to trespass while you do it.
@JenniferLahl
Newborns belong on their mother’s breast. It’s what they want, on a deeply instinctual level. How can you watch that rooting reflex and not feel guilt?
@JenniferLahl
Babies need mothers. I know a lot of men have love to give, but it is profoundly selfish to create a child with the intention of it not having a mother (or a father). What a wound.
@caverdogg
@VEA4Kids
Come on - if it was fake I’d have made it MUCH funnier!
(Not sure I could have come up with the “Continued on page 2” bit, though...)
Anyway, the AEA sent out a statement to the press acknowledging the letter.
After the Arlington chapter of
@VEA4Kids
released an error-riddled letter prematurely,
@ellenfgallery
and her kids corrected the errors with a red pen.
@DeAngelisCorey
called the response "epic" & warned that teachers unions want to close schools yet again
@secularprolife
“Do you really think it comes from a position of hate?”
Start there. The whole “they just want to punish women” line comes next; it surprising how many pro-choices have never really considered that most pro-lifers actually believe a pregnancy involves a real baby.
@Tyler2ONeil
@VEA4Kids
I took the photos, the hand editing is my work. The original press release was tweeted out by another account. You have my permission to use these photos.
@RichardGrenell
I had an ultrasound at 14weeks and I looks so much like this - bubs was bopping around, full of life and still had room to do a few flips.
@SpinningHugo
No. I used to think this. But I’ve seen how calling a man “she” or a woman “they” normalizes and perpetuates the untruth that someone can be born on the wrong body, that a gendered soul exists outside of one’s biology, and ultimately that one can choose their sex.
@EpiEllie
Why should the cost of quarantine or isolation be borne by property owners? Every person should be planning ahead to manage these potential costs.
@babybeginner
This is innumerate. Most people are never within say 10 yards of a bear in the wild. Most people are within 10 yards of a human male many, many times per day.
@Annabel4Edu
@thewanreport
But unless you’re volunteering to live and shower and undress with “Artemis,” this is just an easy statement whose consequences you expect others to bear.
@AliBaumanTV
@CBSNewYork
I’m not Jewish and no longer live on the UWS, but these are my people: calm, focused, rational rather than emotive, mourning rather than enraged. A beautiful and civilized tribute to so many lives lost too soon.
@Sachinettiyil
Wow, but folks do not understand that “separation of church and state” limits the state not the church 😂 😂 😂
Good to see the bishops still have principles. We are all sinners and fall short of perfection, but the murder of innocents for convenience is always wrong.
@YALiberty
“Women” by Alice Walker is a favorite poem, and speaks so beautifully to that powerful drive many mothers feel to fight for education for their kids, even “without knowing a page of it themselves.”
@OSAASports
Girls deserve their own sports. Stop allowing gender distressed boys to take girls’ spots. Stop threatening athletes and parents who speak the truth!
@ChristieSmythe
@jtLOL
@BridgetPhetasy
Do you have any idea how rare it would be for a woman to commit a crime like this against other women? This hypothetical is almost incomprehensible.
@loreoftherose
@RebeccaLChris
I have my childhood copy of Where the Red Fern Grows...which I kept despite my childish inscription, in pink pen: “DO NOT READ. THE DOGS DIE!!!” Impactful, but I’m torn on reading it to my kids.
@AndrewBeckUSA
Even Ginsberg acknowledged that Roe was a terrible decision in legal and practical terms. While she was pro abortion, her jurisprudence had almost no impact on it. So…what’s this mess about again?

Men who walk into a ladies’ bathroom are risks. Good men stay out so bad men stand out. If a woman sees/hears a man in the loo, she doesn’t go in, or leaves right away, or locks herself in and calls for help. Breaking down that norm is a huge blow to safeguarding.
@yaledailynews
“Inviting” - but that space doesn’t belong to them. They have no right of exclusion. All these kids could use a decent Civil Liberties class.
@stacey_rudin
@sarahbeth345
My stress level went down so much when I started homeschooling my kids. Yes, I have less free time. But our whole family is so much saner. And the kids are absolutely flying through content. It’s so exciting. And saving the $75k/yr for 3 tuitions pays for some nice vacations.
@R3fug33Official
@obianuju
A baby created to not have a mother is absolutely harmed. It’s a primal wound. So is not having a father. Missing a parent is a tragedy; when it happens kids should be allowed to and helped to mourn.
@__apf__
@karol
Homeschool mom here. I added an extra year to our study of American history so we could study the World Wars in depth. Introducing my kids to it all made all the hard work of homeschool prep worth it.
My son took his first
@CLT_Exam
today (the 8th grade version) and it was a great experience- easy to administer at home at a convenient time, asks kids to interact with high quality primary sources and literature, quick exam results…and my kid was giggling through the grammar.

The problem is that colleges are not turning out people highly educated and qualified for the job market. Impractical degrees are encouraged. There is great education to be had for cheap at community college and online, but it’s not prestigious or fun.

Sex is binary: humans are organized to produce large or small gametes, and there has never been a human hermaphrodite. Even atypical chromosomes are disorders that impact either males or females.
@MikeBloomberg
@shannonrwatts
@MomsDemand
I despise people who, without any electoral mandate, claim to speak for a group of people. Many many moms oppose this woman’s crusade against law abiding gun owners. She wants to leave us and our families defenseless in the face of criminals who (shocked face) don’t obey laws.
@The_StateMedia
What a psychopath. That child at 6 of course believed adults who told him he could “have a surgery to become a girl” because kids that age are magical thinkers. A kind parent would have said, “You can’t become a girl, but you can be whatever kind of boy you want.”
@KStovring
@Angry_Staffer
That was before nukes and ICBMs and other tech of war. I admire Churchill and think his point is important, but the calculus is different - if NATO goes to war it is making a choice for billions of people who could be impacted by nuclear exchange.
@Transgendertrd
@genderisharmful
The fact that they’re all illustrated picture books is so cruelly duplicitous - completely idealizing transition and hiding the reality. Look how pretty cartoon trans mom is! Indistinguishable from any other (cartoon) mom. Mendacious.

@CathyYoung63
No, the perpetrators are responsible. The US and many NGOs spent decades and billions of dollars trying to change this culture, but all they did was temporarily suppress it, it seems.
@Lol19559014
@wesyang
I think parents may start paying more attention to campus culture when evaluating schools - I know I’m keeping track of campus politics and admin responses.
@GrammarUpdates
Yes, I learned this in marine biology in HS. And I homeschool, so all my kids know it, too. It’s not a random idiosyncratic rule, it’s very useful when observing and describing groups of fish.
@ayaghanameh
@jessicaschwalb7
It’s a space for the whole school. It doesn’t belong to protesters.
Also, learn what genocide is. Israel has behaved with amazing restraint and kept civilian casualties to a low percentage while fighting a terrorist enemy that doesn’t respect any of the laws of war.
@diequalder
@Goodtweet_man
Ewww. Not only is the headline disgusting, but the graphic design here highlights the most unflattering part of that image. Terrible ad.

Of all the sports where male development (including but not limited to male puberty) confers a systematic advantage, climbing has got to be one of the most obvious.
@CathMcGin_Tea
@DerryNow
I think one detail that surprises a lot of people is that we cannot recreate natural puberty - it is a complex process that can only happen at a certain time in each child’s life, and surpressing those changes does not pause puberty but permanently skips part or all of it.
@FlorioGina
There’s a difference between sleeping in separate rooms because of tension, anger, resentment - and lovingly agreeing that you both sleep better apart. Like most acts in marriage, what is in the heart matters tremendously.
@JDHaltigan
This is why I twitch whenever “more mental healthcare” is promoted as a solution to societal problems (addiction, depression, school violence). Yes, we do need more and better mental healthcare - but who will deliver it?
@MackinacCenter
@DeAngelisCorey
It’s true - a huge number of parents were utterly appalled at what was passing for education once they got a window into classrooms. I had two kids in elementary at the time and I was one of them.
