My grandma's 80 yr old friend had to come out of retirement to work as a teachers aid & my 77 old grandma is couch surfing and driving for hop, skip and drive. There is no retirement age, there is no dignity in aging for our elders. We worked until we die.
I'm glad the news is catching up to what we're seeing on the streets. Social security + salaries have not kept up with skyrocketing rent. It takes just one illness and one missed check before being evicted, and if you don't have family to supplement you're out of luck.
