Appreciate the kind words. You’re exactly right—this rebuild demands a historic collaboration between government and the private sector. We can’t afford to wait on bureaucracy.
Just listened to Rick Caruso on Joe Rogan. He’s right. LA is failing because we have a leadership problem. My family home is in the Palisades and it made me care even more about how broken this city is. We should be pushing for underground power lines and better fire infrastructure. Basic, obvious fixes. But LA drags its feet and says, "there's no money." Meanwhile, we have one of the largest economies in the world with some of the highest taxes. So where’s the money going? Our leadership has made it nearly impossible to build, run a business, or even feel safe in our own neighborhoods. Caruso is right. Government alone can’t fix this. It’s too big, too slow, and too inefficient. But the private sector can move fast, innovate, and bring in capital if the city allows it. We’ve seen what happens when government and private enterprise work together. After 9/11, private developers helped rebuild New York. During COVID, businesses worked with the government to speed up vaccine development and keep the economy running. LA could be doing the same, partnering with private capital and companies that actually know how to execute. We should be pushing for better leadership, more outsiders who can actually get things done. I hope we see Caruso run again.

It’s been one month and we need answers and urgency on rebuilding. Families need to get home but bureaucratic delays and confusion are stalling progress. No real discussion on rebuilding is a major concern. We deserve a schedule and need action now.
In the 31 days since the fires started, we have: ✅Inspected all 15k+ structures in the Palisades ✅Opened a recovery center that’s helped 6k+ families ✅Launched an online tool to make assistance accessible ✅Adjusted tax deadlines for impacted businesses ✅Helped relocate schools & childcare centers

Thank you to everyone who helped us get @steadfastla launched. Government cannot do this alone. The ideas, resources, and innovation this effort requires has to come from the outside. We’re here to support the rebuild. But more importantly, we’re need to ensure it’s done fast, safe, and in the interest of the people who live in these communities.
