@bluedog373 @andrew_nyr @aviationbrk they actually do this pretty often. It’s not necessarily dangerous or anything. Same as only closing the door when the jet bridge or stairs are moved away. Sometimes the spacing on certain doors vs jetways requires it to avoid damage.
