I love reading all your different opinions and I respect them all, if you don’t mind the ingredients eat your pre diabetic undercooked mid cookies that’s fine by me. ME MYSELF just see no need for all of that and the sheer AMOUNT it’s just not worth it
@urstarsana
I would had turned out sooo different if I wouldn’t had been feed so much sugary and processed junk food as a kid. I definitely want to build a healthy and active family
@dollboycalz
I can make homemade cookies with SEVEN ingredients tops but sure a paragraph of ingredients is totally normal and the amount of sugar is a whole other big problem (not even talking in a disordered way)
@TwiceFatherless
I’m just saying many of the ingredients there are awful and completely unnecessary like palm oil, high fructose corn syrup and countless preservatives, it’s a pass for me
2. Mindset:
But with all of this I had to achieve top grades. First it was for validation from my parents and after years I dropped that and focused on myself and adopted an effort mindset, this is when you praise your amount of effort instead of praise bc you have to be x label
my mindset in a nutshell was and is “Having top grades is the minimum, you just HAVE to have flying grades, but don’t beat yourself up if you have a bad grade as long as you but your outmost effort and dedication”
-Time management:
Don’t let the procrastination devil consume you, don’t leave things for last minute, write down everything you have to do that week and GET TO WORK. We procrastinate because we’re are afraid of fucking up, you just need to suck it up and START.
1. Background:
look I’ve had this ed since the ripe age of 11-12 so I didn’t develop right 💀 in fact my brain doesn’t process things very quick, I write slow, hard time remembering things, I’m a bit dyslexic, me and my friends laugh about it all the time actually 😭
-Color coding hand written notes:
I’m a visual learner so to learn and memorize different concepts I wrote everything down, there are actually studies that show that handwritten notes make a superior memory retention and conceptual understanding compared to those who typed notes
it doesn’t get more nutritious than this, it’s fish (cooked in onions, lemon juice, ginger, tumeric, sea salt, pepper, cayenne and oregano) on top of steamed kale with evoo, purple sweet potato and kimchi ✨
For me it didn’t matter if I got a 10/20 on an math exam if put my sweat and tears studying for it, but also I didn’t conform to that grade and had to try harder next time.
@cutecurlycals
I want to look so much like this perfect doll, like being so breathtakingly beautiful and people percieving me that way, very dainty but powerful and poised
This is why I am only doing low impact cardio to get lean like walking, the more intensive cardio you do the hungrier you get. Also eating all day to keep me satisfied, not fasting or anything
3. Notes and exam taking:
My school was very demanding academically I had multiple exams, presentations, notebook hand ins, long hand written investigations, every two weeks here are some things that helped and some things I could do better:
-Pay attention in class and ask questions:
don’t be afraid to stop the teacher and repeat their explanation, don’t leave the class with lagoons. Write down the key topics of that session and INVESTIGATE later, stay curious, DONT CONFORM TO ONLY WHAT THE TEACHER SAYS
I’m having an epiphany, my cultural foods aren’t unhealthy at all, you just need the right portion and not use certain ingredients, even the traditional sweets are made with such simple ingredients and are usually eaten in tiny portions
VERY IMPORTANT EAT YOUR FREAKING VEGGIES, NOURISH YOURSELF, don’t eat junk devoid of nutrients that will just make you sad and have the attention span of a fish, eat as much whole foods as you can, focus specifically on getting your omega 3s, B vitamins and antioxidants.
5. Nutrition:
Ok this is what you came for, yes you can achieve your ugw, I actually did it two times lol. I fasted too much actually but at the time fasts didn’t give me anxiety and actually made me more focused so if you want to do it play with the times
then I would highlight every concept plus examples with a different color and in an exam I would just go to that color and connect it to the concept. With math related subjects I just practiced and practiced and practiced some more
I actually find resolving math problems to be a nice brain exercise and I would sometimes do a couple before studying history for example to get in that focus mode. So find the study method that best suits you!
you definitely have to be in a deep honeymoon stage SO IF YOURE PRONE TO BINGES OUT OF STRESS DONT. FAST. Also don’t have an intake below 700 that’s dumb, hell if I could turn back time I would not have gone below 1000
6. Study environment
Study without any distractions, put locks on your devices and STUDY IN SILENCE it’s already hard for you to focus in the first place so don’t make it any harder, really activate focus mode, harder subjects first, if your house is loud go to the library
4. Extracurriculars:
My school had a lot of activities so we really didn’t have time to do things out of class. I actually advise against doing more than one extracurricular in your last two years of high school and it should be something you do to de-stress like sport or paint
todays eats!
breakfast was local macadamia nuts; lunch was salmon with veggies and a side of veggies hehe; dinner was grilled chicken breast, sweet potato and more veggies and for dessert fruit with sugar free chocolate treats, what do you think? nothing out of control right?
salmon, carrots, broccoli, spinach, onions, cooked in veggie broth with root ginger and turmeric and a drizzle of 4ml of extra virgin olive oil *chefs kiss*
Every meal should be comprised of:
-30gr of protein
-1 serving of complex/starchy carbs
-1-2 servings of fat
-Half of your plate should be veggies
-fruit for dessert
When I had exams of activities that required a lot of energy I did have breakfast, it was usually 100-150 cals of yogurt and fruit and seed or granola, now I would advise you to eat something fat and protein heavy like an avocado toast or eggs or greek yogurt with seeds
7. Don’t let school suck your soul:
Yes you have to study but you also need to find passion in your life outside school, stay curious, work hard and with quality but be chill and don’t stress about it, believe in yourself, have confidence that everything will work out 💗
@OrthoMexicana
it’s just non appealing, disappointing, made in gross conditions, bad for you, anxiety inducing, just no. Nothing better than a home cooked meal
@bl4ckswa4n
@miffpie
she’s actually short like 5’4 I think (she said it in her podcast) she just wears platforms all the time and knows her angles +super thin
I cooked beef for the first time and it turned out so good! mom approved and praised, with the pumpkin purée and broccoli this meal is around 300 cals and 30gr protein
girls my mom told me her 90s ed story for the first time and after she said “I know you want to be thin I’ve been watching you all these years and I know how you glare at fat people I just don’t want you to become obsessed” THE GAG 💀
wake up bc, after bathroom bc, mid morning bc, before lunch bc, after lunch, evening bc, before shower very long bc, after shower bc, after dinner bc, before bed bc, 2am bc- it never fucking ends
now THIS ONE I LOVE, the gut has to be one my favorite topics, and there’s a woman that talks about how she went from ana to ortho and she was sooo relatable I loved her so much
