@KevinLamb74 Thinking about this, it’s not a horrible way to start a campaign. TPK. Next party: “You’ve heard how horrible and terribly strong this menace is, and have been tasked with destroying it.” “Yeah, we’re going to need more magic.” They ain’t rushing in.

@meldarth I’m lucky in that I have a good friend that is a master of leather working and has taught me a lot. I’m NOT a leather worker, lol, but he gets me scraps to draw on.

@meldarth Ummm, ask your dad for brains, mine are staying put. Not much to say, sharpies and ink work great. Paint wash takes several layers to look nice. Depends on the opacity but paint is a little different. Get a test piece and play with it!

@meldarth Veggie tan Leather takes ink incredibly well, doesn’t run at all. I love inking on it! This was undyed leather when I worked on it and then put a polish to it to give it a nicer aged leather patina. You can still draw/ink on it as the polish is permeable.

@ThatSteveGuy Looks great! You probably look at it and see how you would do it differently today - so do that! Make a new one and see how your style has changed.

@CaptGraybeard13 Leather is wonderful to ink on. Paint sometimes need multiple coats (see the mountain tips and coast line for examples of multiple coats).

@shapesandlines @CaptGraybeard13 Served my players well but now it’s time for another group of adventurers to use it.
