I am honored to accept my appointment to serve on the newly established World Health Organization’s Technical Advisory Group The World Health Organization’s Emergency Preparedness & Response Technical Advisory Group (EPR-TAG) is an independent body of experts that will serve as the principal advisory group to the World Health Organization for strategic guidance. Our focus will be on all matters pertaining to public health emergency preparedness and response across the @WHOAFRO African Region. This is both an honor and a formidable challenge. It's surreal to be working alongside 14 highly accomplished experts. Serving on this advisory group alongside Dr Ebere Okereke @DrEmeruemJnr (Nigeria 🇳🇬 ), Prof. Helen Rees (South Africa 🇿🇦), Prof. Rebecca Martin of Emory University, @RickABright (USA), and other exceptional professionals is a true honor. I do not take this opportunity and privilege for granted, knowing that more than 500 people were under consideration for this advisory group. This is a personal commitment to making a tangible difference. Thank you to the regional director of WHO/AFRO @MoetiTshidi and the independent selection committee for this incredible honor. —————————— Fun fact: I realized I am the youngest member of the Technical Advisory Group. I look forward to contributing to and learning from this distinguished group. Read More About the Press Release here #PublicHealth #WHO #EPRTAG #HealthSecurity #GlobalHealth #JohnsHopkinsAlumni

@gyaigyimii Its better to have both. Both matter in different ways. Networking often opens doors/creates opportunities, while a degree builds expertise and credibility. Ideally, you need both! Networking to get in and skills (from education and experience) to stay and grow.

@DaveAshelman @SirAdamJohnson @lobacake The same can be said of any platform… but I guess that is why we all have options to choose from. Let's connect on LinkedIn in case you change your mind. 😀
