Brilliant thread this - clearly elements of Hendry's game that can be considered similar to Dean. This does suggest that attacking midfielders may have to run the channels more often than they currently do, so a slight tactical change may come when he is in the team!

Is a transfer target from the Estonian league ridiculous? Promise David is a Canadian striker playing for Nomme Kalju, and has been absolutely storming this season. No reference at all to how the level translates, but I don't imagine League 2 being a level he couldn't step up to!

Done my full analysis of Dons v Bradford and noticed some interesting things from it, particularly set pieces. They were clearly positional, and so clearly set up for the patient, short buildup. How many other teams have done this recently, I've never really seen it before now?

Watched Gateshead a few times since MW came, including the FA Trophy final on Saturday, and everyone that watched that with me was loving watching him. Seems so effortless in everything he does, with outstanding technique. Love how he can dictate play so well. Perfect option.

Another Gateshead player MK Dons could look at is Ed Francis, who has been winning plaudits of late
There’s good reason for it though, as he’s got stronger, whilst continuing to be class on the ball. A perfect fit for Williamson’s style and system

Right Wing-Back will be my next recruitment thread, based on Danny Imray, a dynamic Full-Back that would adapt seamlessly into Dons' Wing-Back system. Personally, I can see us making 2 Wing-Back signings, and I would love to see suggestions on possible targets that you may have!

Fully agree with this - in my opinion we have loads of players that could do a job up front, not necessarily in a conventional sense but it can be done, especially with the ability a lot of our attackers have to get in behind the defence.

Had a hard time getting recent in possession clips for McCann - I was only able to work off the games against Dons where FGR had about 25% possession - so I'm scouring for clips this evening with the aim of getting the thread up first thing tomorrow!

As I have said before, my top target to replace Max Dean when he inevitably goes. The movement here is a key element of his game, and shows in both of his goals tonight. This is consistent, meaning he got 24 G/A in 25 games last year and some of the best link up in the league!
