Now the dust has settled, my thoughts on yday.
Huge credit to Rowett for team selection- took risks with Anderson and Roberts but paid off. Also thought subs were spot on.
Anderson won a lot of fouls which alleviated pressure, haven’t had the nous for that this year. (1)

Stansfield-9/10
Not enough words for how well he did this season. Led the line excellently, scored 13 goals and was the difference for 12 points. Did miss chances but did more than can be expected in his 1styear at the level. Would have had more without Rooney’s tenure.

The EFL and officials in this country once again refuse to admit error.
They’re always going to get decisions wrong- VAR or not- but what’s most unbearable about the standard of officiating is their absolute refusal to say they got it wrong.

-Comfortable in possession- played under Cifuentes- Keeper used for numerical advantage
-Needs to improve parrying- often puts in danger area
-Improving well at his age

At his best he’s an electric, direct, all action winger and a player who can make that real difference.
Injuries have hampered him as well as a lack of confidence but a move to a promotion chaser could help restart his career.

Yes he has flaws, but if he didn’t he wouldn’t be playing at this level.

Potentially the worst signing of Blues’ Championship stint, not a single contribution and alike his tenure at many of his clubs he failed to deliver anything of note. His first half performance at Rotherham did little to improve his standing amongst Bluenoses.

Anderson- Offer contract
No brainer IMO. Anderson has shown his quality recently and brings different attributes- holding the ball up, winning fouls, running in behind etc. Can’t see many frees better than him +he’s been excellent at the level before. Injuries a small concern.

Crowd backed Rooney despite how shite we knew that would end, sold out tomorrow despite the turgid performances.
Firm believer that players have to give fans something in return- no good waving arms- and we can boo when they’re shite!

My pick: Corey Addai- Addai has had an excellent 2nd year at Crawley being picked up from the Danish 2nd tier.
He’s prevented the most xG in the top 4 tiers by some way according to Sky (15.8), 2nd highest save %, the most saves and has faced the most SOT from 39 starts.
