This just happened! 😱😱😱
Monday, 20 May 2024 will forever be a special day in my life.
It's the day I made my first money online.

To be honest, I hate login via email link as a user.
Bad UX imho. Going back and forth But I see why people do it.
Now I wonder, should I do it too even though I hate it? 🤔
So, hear me out! :D
Most of us are not only here for engagement or approval and don't take it too seriously. I usually consider myself one of them.
But if someone who a lot of us look up to starts following you, it still feels great. ;)
Thanks,
@levelsio
! <3
@levelsio
That's ok then.
Especially since you are not a bank or a crypto exchange, it makes sense.
But what I don't understand is why other apps that are not security critical, log you out after a couple days AND do magic links ..
That's annoying. 😎
WhatsApp is just the worst messanger out there. Basically any other one is better.
Change my mind!
P.S.: I'm still stuck with some people on it. Why the h*** is that? :D Can we switch to something that's not bad? :D
@DThompsonDev
No.
For me, becoming a senior software engineer was in big parts due to working in a team and learning how to work with others.
Exchange ideas, teach others, etc.
You're not a senior just because you've written the same code over and over again in your basement. :)
Someone just guessed my nationality based on my cable management.
Are we really THAT stereotypical???
🤣🤣🤣
Also, what is so bad about being organized? 😝
Those kids these days ... so easily offended.
I try my best to be nice, kind, helpful and always add value if I can.
The one time I tweet something a biiit more salty, someone blocks me right away.
I guess I'm finally a real part of Twitter now right? :D
Now I just need
@codewithvoid
It's called socializing, team-building, bonding, gossip. Everyone who's ever worked in an office with the direct team knows what I'm talking about. :) Not discouraging remote, I work remotely too. But please don't think remote == in office. It's not. :)
Imagine getting paid for creating and playing games.
Yes, that’s a Dual Shock 4.
Yes, that’s Unity3D.
Yes, that’s actually my job (at the moment). 😅😅😅
I’m f-ing lucky!
Took me 40 years though. Can’t recommend my approach. 😉
@tibo_maker
My sample people didn't like my past posts then. :D
But good to see this one got enough traction that it even landed on the feed of one of the Twitter masters.😍😍😍
Thank you,
@tibo_maker

Remove distractions! 🤘
One of the things I’ve done this week is remove distractions from my desk. 👍
What do you think about the old vs. the new desk set up? 😉
@tibo_maker
The fresh IP can literally be the problem.
It needs to be warmed up first.
Gradually sending more emails.
If you start with a new IP and send 100k emails right away, it'll just get blocked.

The answer is the same, independent of JS and Python. :D
It's going to be C#!
As
@J_Lieu
already pointed out, great tooling and community on top of the mature language.
I just finished extracting the first bit of code from and made it ready to go open-source:

What to not do when starting a business with someone else?
(asked by

Just from the top of my head:
- Don't treat them as a friend, even if you are when you're starting out.
- Write proper contracts. Contracts are not for when evefrything's fine, they are for when

I'm Dominic.
I post about being a software engineer (mainly backend), on a journey back to self-employment again, building products, services and just being a normal human being. Albeit an old one. :D

I really don't want to ever post about politics but I simply can't hold myself back here ..
Am I the only one who thinks this is just the sadest type of clickbait?
I mean, we're on Twitter, so I'm not surprised.
But where is this world going to end? :(

@SullyOmarr
Most of us don't have enough trust in AI and AI agent yet to actually let them work alone.
It's like people used to watch machines until they trusted that the machine will do what it was programmed to do.
Basically the same thing all over again and it will time to get there. :)
To my
#buildinpublic
friends out there:
Which parts of your products / services do you usually struggle most with?
Design?
Code?
Deployment?
Maintanance?
DevOps?
I've built so many backends in my life I was wondering if a simple BaaS for Indies would be something valuable.

Well, almost. 😇
I recorded my first ever podcast episode last week and it went live today. 😱

With the recent Twitter API changes I might end up not being able to offer `One Inbox`.
And of course it's the one I started with!
Would you still use

if it only offered the others on the list?
Which one would you like to see first?

Too expensive for too little actual usage.
What would you actually use it for long-term?
It's one of those gadgets that are fun for a couple of days. But then, it's just turning from fun into inconvenience you're just returning to do the things the way you did them before. :D

The difference between a Junior and a Senior Developer is not defined by how often you struggle, but how you handle it. :)
We all struggle at some point. Even after two decades I regularly find tasks that I can't solve right away. * woops *
Sometimes they drive

It feels more active than ever.
Don't you think?
And every other alternative that came up didn't work, so I'd say it's like it's always been. :D
