@mj_pucci This is so sad to hear. I met Mike during fellowship during the FSF retreat. Was a really nice guy. I have been a twitter follower since then. My condolences to all who knew him especially his loved ones.

@kourtpenner You seem have made up your mind about rezoning as you continue to push that agenda. What about the constituents that elected you to represent their opinions at council? Are you actually listening? Or just pretending?

@gabefabreau I think an open invitation for the the premier to attend any of the upcoming Ucalgary specialty research days. I would contend that Alberta’s doctors are astonishingly curious about almost everything.

@EddyLang1 What about the labourer with a symptomatic hernia that is limiting their ability to work and make an income? If you asked that person I think they would tell you that waiting a few more months for surgery is a rather big deal.

@EddyLang1 Sorry Eddy, but hernia surgery is a really bad example. 95% of these cases are ambulatory same day cases. Gallbladder surgery also similar resource outlay. I disagree that these are the patients impacting flow through emergency department.

@HopeFeldmanMD @acsJACS @AmCollSurgeons @WomenSurgeons @SAGES_Updates In my practice TEP/TAPP and their variations are the way to go. However, if you’re doing an open repair the plug just makes it harder to fix a recurrence when it happens and adds nothing to a well done patch repair.
