There wasn’t a dry eye in the room today. I was working as a doctor in A&E during the 7/7 attacks in London. I promised myself as a Muslim I would value all lives. Thats why I was here today. One year on, let’s never lose hope that there will be peace in the Middle East:

A fabulous 1st day at @LGA_Labour conference. A great round of sessions. The joy of attending @LabourCllrs conference for the first time under a Labour Govt feels just wonderful. Meeting so many lovely people in our movement where we dedicate ourselves to our communities was lovely. I’m so excited about the future. 🌹

Shocking news. When the statistics are evident around Misogyny and Patriarchy in politics, no one deserves to be treated like this. This surely has to lead to an investigation at the very least.

I do disagree, Campaign days encompass fund raising and awareness for so many charities and third sector organisations across our county. So does that mean that he will abolish: 👉Poppy Appeal 👉Cancer awareness 👉Recognition of all disability based conditions seen & unseen Implying that campaigns for such matters will render them insignificant. it would be better to give clarity as my perception of this sets a dangerous, polarising, precedent.
