Just got the Studio Display, and I know the reviews hammered it, but damn, this thing is sick. Never had a stand-alone display this sharp, including LG ultra fine. And the webcam, honestly, it’s better than my Logitech 4k Brio. Don’t know if the reviewers got duds 🤷♂️

Ironically, it’s saying aggressive hyperbolic stuff like this which is the true sign of inexperience.
Designers that organize their work like this don’t have their own style or way of doing things. They are just inexperienced. I have no problems calling out designers for sloppy design files. You make it impossible to collaborate with writers, engineers and other designers.

For the Momentous project I posted recently, I used AI to create imagery early on. It turned out to be a really useful tool; it served as photography placeholder in early designs, and a way to get feedback on the style of photo direction (a few early designs for context below).

Gave a short talk on skeuomorphism to my class last night. Most fascinating thing that came up was how students felt drawn by the nostalgia of iOS6; but not for the original objects, but because they used the original iPhone when they were kids and felt nostalgic around that 🤯

the job of skeuomorphism in context of iphone UI was to introduce a lot of foreign interaction concepts using a familiar visual language. Everyone now understands those concepts, so we have no functional use for it anymore. As purely stylistic/emotional device, we can do better.
