Even before meeting him on the first Obama campaign, I've admired Joe Biden. What he has endured to continue to serve not only this country, but also our highest ideals, is staggering. Yesterday’s decision is just the latest in a half century of putting the American people above
Here's your brave crusader against anti-semitism, who never denounced Trump's "good people on both sides" response to torch-carrying-great-replacement-theory-nazis in Charlottesville, and now aligns with his "poisoning the blood " language. What a fraud.
Stefanik on if she's comfortable with Trump paraphrasing Hitler: "We have the media which is so biased, which is reiterating whatever the talking points the Biden campaign is giving. Our border crisis is poisoning American through fentanyl ... so yes, I stand by President Trump"
Anyone who has worked on a campaign knows how stressful, exhausting and emotionally draining that work is -- especially as election day nears. But you do it. Because the opportunity to change the direction of a state and of the country is so damn important. Especially now.
Bloomberg is protected by armed guards right now.
He will be protected by guns as he sleeps tonight.
He will be protected by guns forever.
But Mike wants regular Americans disarmed.
Mike’s an elitist hypocrite.

Hey gang, go ahead and keep betting against

We are all in and on board for the most qualified and successful President in a generation.
And he’s showing why tonight.

20th century winner’s popular vote margins:
2000: -543,816
2004: 3,012,171
2008: 9,550,153
2012: 4,982,291
2016: - 2,868,686
2020: (est.) 6,900,000
This election was more decisive than all but 2008, and Biden bested Trump’s 2016 net margin by nearly 10 million votes.

The
@JoeBiden
campaign launch was a success in highlighting the stark choice, reclaiming (appropriately so!) the mantle of freedom as a core value of this President and the Democratic Party, and highlighting an astonishing record of success.
Always excited to talk about hitting
To all: Thank You.
And know that we built something that was not only unlike anything done before but that will play a critical role in changing the direction of this country.
Everyone of you should be very proud. I know I am.
Onward.

You know the rule, write every text as tho it will appear on the front page of the New York Times ✅
Maybe the greatest boomer text ever written, tbh
So very glad to hear
@benwikler
is up for a new term as
@WisDems
chair.
He has been one of the most effective state chairs in the country — ever. Could snag just about any job in politics he wanted.
Badgers (and Ds everywhere!) are damn lucky he wants to keep building DPW!
And to those who seek to intimidate and bully those staff and volunteers -- and to those who enable it -- you are embarking on a path that only validates the politics of a President that we must reject.
We can all do so much better than this, and we must.
@NateSilver538
@united
Involuntary denied boardings are still BEFORE boarding-- This was an involuntary deplaning. Should be rare & w much higher compensation
So very excited to see
@Michael_S_Regan
confirmed by the Senate to lead the EPA! Breaking out my old agency cufflinks and Obama signed proclamation to celebrate and reflect on how relieving it is to see a champion for clean air and water for all back in charge. Let’s get to work!
Tough campaigns (win or lose) reveal so much about the character and dedication those on the front lines.
@kat_rogers
and
@peterhanscom
and two of the very best I’ve worked with. Smart, talented, tough as hell leaders who I’d follow into a fight anywhere.
@NateSilver538
He’s not any different from any politician and he’s surely not independent. He’s just the worst of both parties with zero idea how government works and loyal to a system that fosters inequality. A billionaire explicitly running so billionaires don’t pay more.
100 days out! Our teams in battleground states have been building and were ready for it.
1300+ staff (and growing), 250+ offices, tens of thousands of volunteers. Talking to millions of voters.
2,300 events in battlegrounds. Just this weekend.
Even at the hardest moments,
@RexChapman
@ZerlinaMaxwell
Crazy thought, but maybe our leaders could focus on improving peoples lives and preventing the distopian hellscape they seem to think is coming rather than relying on the plan of stocking up on military weapons in homes
@LarrySabato
Yep. It’s context and expectations.
Next to FL’s 537 vote margin in 2000, WI’s margin of 11,000 votes was nowhere near as close. And it was HALF the 2020 WI margin.
2020 was more competitive than expected (at the end) but not as close as several elections this very century.
Gang, STG has become
@ArcInitiatives
!
It's a thrill to work with great people on impactful issues -- health care, public lands conservation, tribal subsistence, climate action, clean air & water... and more.
I'm excited to continue that work, and hope you'll give us a follow!
Today, STG is becoming Arc Initiatives! We’re still the same good people doing good things, but now with a different look (and some new faces)! Check out our new website:
Now, we are to understand that Donald Trump “kept his promise” not to cut Medicaid, after HE DID cut Medicaid in his budget — only to have Congress reject it.
We are all dumber for
@PolitiFact
— which lacks both political nuance and fact — and that, dear readers, is my screed.
.
@quentinfulks
hammers the point. Biden has delivered action and results on gun violence prevention, reduced Rx prices, and student loan debt.
It's an incredible record of accomplishment -- particularly with such narrow margins in congress. Time to finish the job.
MUST WATCH: Biden-Harris’
@quentinfulks
on Meet the Press:
President Biden and Vice President Harris have accomplished more in two years than most presidents do in two terms — and they’re running to finish the job.
@aseitzwald
A 23 candidate field is unprecedented. Yet, the DNC is doing a great job by sticking to important principles: 1) be fair, 2) be transparent, 3) use criteria that require genuine strength, 4) provide forums that allow VOTERS to make an informed choice. Well done
@TomPerez
y’all telling me a rural gal from roxboro, north carolina can just ride in the motorcade with the vice president of the United States?!?! mama we made it!!!
and I got to tell her how important rural north carolina seeing her will be this year for 2024. an unbelievable day. 🫶
Super excited to have

join

@Redistrict
Hey,
@Redistrict
— don’t disagree that Robeson may have been decisive. But it’s not just a county on a map. It’s a place with real economic challenges, hammered by hurricanes and flooding. Poverty, natural disaster, and voter suppression. It’s not just about Dem “performance”
Now home after 36 hours of my life spent on I-95 and adjacent afflicted avenues, my DMs are open for unvarnished thoughts on the VA emergency response and general

As the son of a k12 district admin: closures depend on if kids can be transported safely by bus. In our district growing up, the privates had a contract to share bus services, so always the same. If that’s not the case or if a private doesn’t rely on bus service, could be fewer.
This has happened not only in Knoxville, but also in Chattanooga and Johnson City, Tennessee. And in Youngstown and Toledo, Ohio. And Austin Texas. In Salt Lake City, Chicago, and Ann Arbor. In Richmond, VA.
100 rocks through the window. Hammer and sickle images and oligarch and racist spray painted over the windows. “Elections No, Revolution Yes!” Text messages that read “dead dead dead” to volunteers.

@MikeBloomberg
will support whoever becomes the nominee to defeat
@realDonaldTrump
. He believes in building coalitions and letting as many people into the tent as possible -- that brand of politics is a big reason why I am so proud to work for him.

was among the first to call out the need for aggressive covid response— before we had a single case in the U.S.
Months into the pandemic, hundreds of thousands lives lost, and Mitch McConnell still doesn’t believe there is cause for urgency.

@NateSilver538
Not even the worst of it. His NPR interview was a masterclass in doublespeak and cliche. On one hand he says of free college, “nothing is free” but then won’t acknowledge need for cuts or tax hikes to cut the deficit saying “you didn’t mention growth!” What. A. Joke.
@mattyglesias
Incidentally, I’m still bitter I narrowly lost my bid for class president on the platform of “Vote Kanninen for More Snow Days.” We ended up with five that year and the commencement speech would have been a banger.
The Biden-Harris Interior Department team is already loaded with talented public servants like the incredible
@katepkelly
, but it just got sooo much better with
@DebHaalandNM
confirmed to lead their important mission of protecting and managing public lands for all!
This is how do it in Minnesota for
@KamalaHarris
! We meet their rallies with real action! 435+ ready to hit the doors and talk to voters after this kickoff!
Today I’m really proud:
1) To have supported
@savethebwca

AND
2)
@ArcInitiatives
’ own
@JonaeWartel
who has now helped ensure a Dem SCOTUS appt after leading GA runoffs last year
Big Day.
A campaign that can't put Florida in play is an extremely narrow and risky proposition. Only
@MikeBloomberg
has the strength and message to beat
@realDonaldTrump
here.
They do it because Trump is an existential threat and they signed up to be on a campaign that doesn't go after other Democrats, but puts Trump in focus and is laying it all on the field to take him on, everywhere.
Hello Northville Michigan! We’re here with

That has to be our approach. If campaigns incite or even give permission to their supporters to weaponize anger -- we will lose. And we will lose far more than just an election.

We are still crunching the numbers but it appears Democrats are heavily favored in areas they are favored but essentially tied in areas considered toss ups - more at eleven
Tonight, we’re in Salt Lake City, UT. It’s a state that Trump needs to win, so it’s a state where we need to be. To save our planet and help all Americans, first we need to win. I want to thank all of our supporters who came out to help us defeat Trump and turn UT blue.
But in Knoxville, Tennessee -- in a state with a 44% African American staff -- when they arrived at the office this week, they endured 5 incidents of vandalism in the last 7 days.

Team PA is leading the charge to engage voters everywhere this March — starting with SOTU watch parties tomorrow night across the state.
More than 200 others nationwide and it’s just a taste of a month chock full of action. Time to get on board, gang.
Nikki Lu, the campaign’s Pennsylvania campaign manager, said “In contrast, Donald Trump is a threat to our freedoms, our economy, and our democracy and the stakes of this election could not be higher. That’s the message we’re bringing to voters…”
Was about to go on a screed about how terrible

Can someone with any understanding of the myriad of federal crimes being committed by these terrorists and insurrectionists describe the realistic penalties for, oh say, breaking into the House Speaker’s suite and leaving a threatening note at her desk?
Such a flood of emotions this week reading and thinking about my friend Mike. Pride, anger, sadness, and laughter too. Up until the very last second he had a deep sense of purpose.
“He made another powerful statement with what was one of the last acts of his life, his wife said: he completed, signed and sealed a mail-in Texas ballot from the hospital to vote.”
Thank you

Among the worst things about Jerome Corsi is that everytime I see his name in my feed I think “corgi” and get excited for some dog pics. The delta between anticipation and reality is incalculable.
Through meetings, phone calls, door knocks, and online engagement, they talk to millions of voters - persuading them of the vital importance of beating
@realDonaldTrump
. They do this in communities that have never seen a Democratic campaign office for President in years, if ever.
This

For all the campaign folks I’ve talked to since Election Day about their career— this is the sort of program you should attend and the great
@amandalitman
is someone you should follow!
Any current or future campaign staffer (for races of any size) should make sure to attend the *free* DNC digital debrief on Thursday. Usually these things are $$ & exclusive - don’t miss your chance to hear from the pros on what worked & what didn’t.
For those working to improve health care, fight climate change, defend reproductive rights, advance immigration reform, grow wealth and opportunity and educational outcomes-- particularly for communities of color who have been systematically disadvantaged-- and end gun violence:
They also do it for a man who built himself up from next to nothing, became successful beyond comprehension, and then dedicated his life and money to tackling climate change, improving global public health, defending reproductive rights, and ending gun violence.
