Since trump lost - are you guys gonna take the trump signs out of your yards and take the flags off your trucks? Or are you keeping them up for the next 150 years like the confederate flag after you lost the civil war? Btw- both lasted ~4 years.
If you have “DJ” in your name, and all over your social media, and you’re in my DMs asking me how to determine the BPM of a song, you should reconsider calling yourself a DJ until you do some fundamental research.
For years, as a kid, I would throw on
@gangstarr
“Code Of The Streets” and just cut to
@REALDJPREMIER
on the hook. I got a lot of my swing and funk in my scratches from listening to Preemo and mimicking that unfadeable style. Thanks for inspiring a generation! 🫡 and

if you live in the DC area and you have a baby on the way, Buy Buy Baby in Rockville has INSANE clearance right now (got a $400 car seat for $35 NIB) just spreading the love out here 😉✌🏻
I’m gonna start calling out all you silent white DJs out come Monday. I wanna see solidarity posts and donations goddamnit. Or I better see you in the fucking street on IG live at a protest. If not, check for my tweets. we all play BLACK music. It’s time we stand for them.
there are people on here talking about DJs, saying stuff like “that song needs to be retired” or “this song is wack and shouldn’t be heard in a club anymore”. These people obviously don’t like having fun 😂. I’m gonna play whatever the fuck works and I don’t care how old it is
for all you djs live streaming: DNice just hit 100k viewers on his, and he’s got Michelle Obama dropping flame emojis in the chat. Also viewing: suckerberg, Biden, Alicia keys, Oprah, mike Tyson, and a zillion others. Holy. Shit.
social media as promotional tool for artists, musicians, DJs- is easily ~8hrs/week of work or more, if you’re making your own “content”. It’s exhausting and draining to say the least. It also sucks the fun and creativity out of creating things as art
80 of my full-length DJ mixes from the last ~20 years, most of my remix work, and a bunch of other unreleased music! 16GB on a secret hidden USB3.0 - ships free!
I asked like 8 different videographers/photographers for pictures or video from events I did in 2023, I even offered money. Guess how many responses I got? zero.
Lesson learned: Hire someone dedicated for YOU or film it yourself.
hopefully you can tell by now, I love DJ’ing- just from getting reactions like this from the room 😁😂 here’s a fun clip from
@djjazzyjeff215
friday stream last week

THEE co-sign right here. a million thank-you's to
@djjazzyjeff215
+ the mag mob crew, for having me on the stream! If you want to run back my entire set, audio + video, hit the link in my bio to find my VOD archive😎
I'm easily spending at least 5X the time of my festival set time preparing for said set. Playlists, making edits, remixes, original tunes, new routines. This applies to lots of other situations too. We should all take care in how we show our art to the world, it's important.
why are people still making fake-button pushing /fake DJ videos without anything plugged in? People are really just entertained by any old shit these days. Damn that makes me really sad. I can’t even imagine doing some fake shit for clout
I’m at my wife’s company Christmas party. DJ using one of those huge cube things with the mouse and mousepad on top, he’s killin it with the selections tho🤷🏼♂️ - just goes to show it’s not about the gear. I’ll die on that hill.
hoping Baltimore Club music makes a huge comeback in the next few weeks (and beyond). I've always played a LOT of Baltimore Club but I'm just kinda manifesting here
Never thought I would say this, but thanks
@WellsFargo
for suspending our car payment for 3 mo. w/ no questions asked. No fees, penalty, no paperwork. Only interest accrues. Just took a 2 minute phone call.
👏👏THIS should be the model for ALL these loan companies/banks. 👏👏
How many of you would want to see BTS/ or ‘how-to’ /tutorial type videos on my mixes, edits, production, DJ stuff? I’m planning something coming up soon...LMK!
I was outside during “in da club”. People still request it to this day. Everywhere. Anywhere. It’s been the same for 20 years: “can we hear ‘go shorty it’s ur birthday?!” There’s no argument here. If you’re <30 and you don’t like the song, that’s not the majority opinion.
Instead of complaining about this tweet (yes DJ friends I’m looking at you), I think we should be celebrating the wealth of musical knowledge and history that this person is sharing with the youth that might not otherwise have been exposed to these songs 🤷🏼♂️ it’s not a secret.
I'm on a super duper high right now with my music, production, edits, videos, etc- really just enjoying myself, and loving all the feedback and love I'm getting in return. I'm literally just doing music that makes me happy and putting out good energy and getting it back 10x
SEVEN years of DJ’ing
@nationals
games has led up to this! Can’t believe it’s been 7 years!! Tonight I get to DJ game 5 of the
#WorldSeries
!! I’m super lucky, and honored! Thanks to my og
@styluschris
for putting me on, and trusting me with such an important job! 🙏🏻
You could play an entire night in 2003 with only get rich or die tryin, the entire diwali riddim and anything neptunes and you were good. I’m talking 1 crate of records.
One time when I didn’t get paid at a club, I just took home a CDJ. Hostage negotiation ensued, and I was promptly paid the following day when they realized what was missing. I used to do that a lot actually 🤷🏼♂️
When you play in a spot that doesn’t care about their sound or DJ equipment, you definitely start to care a LOT less about your DJ set 🤷🏼♂️ is this true or not? Please tell me I’m wrong
Check out the mix! Put a ton of work into this one- made every single track on there myself! also DJs- grab a bunch of the edits exclusively from
@DJcity

Unless you’re flipping beats on the fly, cutting, scratching, hitting pads, or doing some other really creative type shit, you are NOT “performing”. You’re just playing records. Some of y’all need to CHILL with the verb usage.
