It is not an easy path and many non surgeon scientist will not understand the path itself. However, it is a rewarding path and one that leads to the advancement of the science of surgery. @AmCollSurgeons #surgery #sciencematters
Why be a surgeon scientist? You can “investigate intriguing problems that can impact patients.” 🙏 Dr Ronald Weigel summing it up for all of us. @UnivSurg @AcademicSurgery #ASC2025

The robot is like a tool or an approach. Sometimes you use a #10, sometimes #15. Sometimes lateral decubitus, sometimes prone for an adrenal. The art of surgery is matching the situation to the tool/approach for the optimal outcome. #surgtwitter @AmCollSurgeons
The entire conversation on robotic surgery is too polarizing… the critics don’t use the 🤖at all and the supporters feel like it needs to be used for everything IMO there needs to be more robot ‘centrists’ out there who will say it’s good for some things and not others.
