Fran García impresses me defensively every time I watch him, this game included. – Makes a lot of good decisions, – Ticks two of the three boxes (wouldn't read too much into the last one, to be honest) I look out for in a fullback, – Has the right amount of bite in the duel too.
– Positional intelligence, – Tracking intelligence, – and how well they maintain the defensive line are the three main things to assess first when judging a full-back. Every other thing (1v1s, pace, and IP stuffs) is secondary.
