on a personal note, I texted my dad the day kobe and his daughter tragically passed away and told him I loved him no matter what animosity I had towards him — he left me and my siblings when I was in 5th grade..
fast forward to today, my dad’s coming to see me at 2pm!!
@MichaelDavSmith
Lazy and crappy ass tweet. “cashes a paycheck” he earned every dime of that paycheck - and now we know it comes with wack insults like this from people like you
this man has served as Executive Member, team player rep, captain and leader. those are his credentials what are yours
@darrenrovell
you know there’s soooo many other things you can do with your platform for women that your daughter will thank you for one day - be an ally, be an advocate, SUPPORT.
instead she’ll see this tweet, and the million of comments that disagree with you.
@Breaking911
I really want to understand why people do stuff like this. can we use this in a PowerPoint showing 5-year olds what not to do for social media?
I wish fans could get heckled at work like how they handle athletes — imagine somebody yelling at you while you’re at your cubicle because you messed up the excel spreadsheet
the people’s champ..
embracing the millions, and millions of
@Chiefs
fans all around the city comes natural for
@PatrickMahomes

the NFL’s reigning MVP wants to be a man amongst the people - and that’s the bottom line!

been a crazy 24hrs, my mom suffered a brain aneurysm that ruptured. she had an 8 hour surgery (such a warrior) and is on the road to recovery.
Please keep the fam + more importantly her in your prayers.
and thank you to the amazing medical team at
@HopkinsMedicine

one thing that this COVID-19 pandemic has done is brought people together!!
yesterday was my little man’s birthday — so the neighborhood came out and celebrated!!
@jarrettcartersr
yes let’s blame the retired NFL players - that’s the thing to do. meanwhile students at your HBCU had to literally protest for basic clean living conditions
some personal news to share. after 7 years at the NFLPA, I’ll be moving on. I’m SO grateful for my time with the organization.
to my co-workers: I hope I’ve been one of best people to work with.
to my guys, the players: I’ve enjoyed working for you, I hope I’ve served you well.
we talk a lot about mental health amongst athletes, but let’s not forget about the mental health challenges that come with working in the sports industry..
this is such an on-demand, high performance industry - let’s be mindful of when we need a break.
imagine thinking that because you battle with mental health issues (not mental illness) that you have to look like it..
depressed people can smile, people dealing with anxiety can high five.
lazy, failed hot take.
@boardroom
@KDTrey5
would love to see the roles reversed. all of the “fans” who love criticizing players, both on and off the court, get the same treatment with their day jobs and personal life.
I never realized this many people deal with anxiety..
it’s one of the easiest things to hide but definitely one of the more challenging things to manage.
Kentucky Officials locked the polling doors at 6pm. Voters were still waiting. The people demanded the doors open. Candidates filed an injunction to extend the time. The judge granted an extension. The people are voting in Kentucky...
@KurtBenkert
can you share this stat with him in regards to “3rd string”..
6.5% of high school football players will play collegiately.
1.6% of college level players will play in the NFL.
