@Lucky8Token @hoffmang @Rigidity16 @yakuh1t0 thought about it further, VDFs could level the playing field. Farmers might get a small edge by front-running, but they still need to do the work. If a group colludes to filter transactions that don’t self mine the token, they risk missing out on the chia block rewards

@hoffmang @Rigidity16 @Lucky8Token @yakuh1t0 I personally don't need proof of work for DIG but it looks like with the other pieces of the puzzle @yakuh1t0 and I are currently working on a proof of work CAT is very doable. Will have to write a white paper when I'm ready.

@hoffmang @Rigidity16 @Lucky8Token @yakuh1t0 Yea I've given a lot of thought it's fairly straight forward to use a VDF that is deterministic based on block height/other block info and first node to submit valid proof win

@Rigidity16 @Lucky8Token @yakuh1t0 The thing I'm working on is just shy of true proof of work but it leaves the door open to be extended to that with a few more details to figure out.

@timyoungman4 @yakuh1t0 We just had a discussion this morning on how to do this where the recipients are NFT holders, and it seemed doable

@M_Kirk @Lucky8Token If IPFS were ever to work together with DIG it would be less about individual NFTs and more about how datastores are replicated from one node to the other. DIGNodes would be programmed to pin every store they are mirroring.

Just a reminder: this development was partly funded by these sponsors. All #DIGNetwork research is returned to the community, and projects like this have far-reaching impacts beyond DIG, strengthening #Chia as a whole.
