Published now in ApJL: new @NASASwift capability! < 10s response time on-orbit to astronomical events detected anywhere+initial application to chasing gravitational waves across the sky in real-time. Do you have an idea for radical new science at the fastest timescales? Propose!
In which we torque the 1400 kg @NASASwift spacecraft across the sky in real-time to chase down gravitational waves from neutron stars *before* merger. Ultra-low latency response is now open to the community+we invite proposals for other scientific uses.
