When Disney's Florida studio closed in 2004, a small company by the named of Cecropia hired a majority of the laid off animators to create an interactive arcade game called "The Act." It is the last of its kind, being a 2D animated arcade game similar to Dragon's Lair.

In 2001 there were plans in making a sequel to Space Jam titled "Spy Jam" starring Jackie Chan. While a script was written, a presentation pitch made and even a mock up poster designed, this ended up never happening.

Early in Foodfight's development it was going to be animated in 3D by animators using Lightwave before it was switched to being entirely done in motion capture and Maya. This pencil test, likely dating around 2001, was made to figure out how the character Twinkleton would move.

Before Wreck it Ralph, there was Joe Jump. A Pac-Man inspired video game character from the 80s that game jumps in order to upgrade himself to stay relevant. Joe Jump himself was intended to be 2D animated, while everything else was 3D. In 2008 it was canceled by John Lasseter.

It was built on a proprietary engine and plans were made for there to be more games and being able to choose between them on the same machine. Unfortunately, The Act didn't test as well as they'd hoped and was later turned into an IOS app. Which has been unavailable since 2016.

Animator, director, and friend Eli Noyes has passed away at age 81. Noyes was a pioneer in experimental animation, notably with clay and paper. He was a ton of fun to talk to when we did and the world is a little lesser for his absence.

While making Astro Boy, IMAGI was also working on Cat Tale, a feature about a cat raised with dogs and beginning to understand that he isn't one of them. Starring Stanley Tucci, Sean Astin and Billy Idol, Cat Tale was canceled when IMAGI collapsed due to the failure of Astro Boy.

In 2006, Italian studio 263 Films was creating a 3D, motion capture animated adaption of Anne Frank's diary titled Dear Anne: The Gift of Hope. Though a trailer was made and a sizable amount of publicity was done at the time, Dear Anne never came out, and was quietly forgotten.

I just recently had the honor in sharing "Living Above the Mouse's Ear," a 1985 surrealist animated short film that was intended for a home release by Vestron but was rejected at the presentation. It was never given a public release before this point.

The hairless hamsters in Foodfight! originally started as a gag character named "Mr. Teabag" that was meant to resemble a pair of testicles. Never meant to be in the movie itself, director Larry Kasanoff liked the appearance so much that he had them included in the film anyway.

In an interview with animator Mark Anthony Austin, he mentions that an entirely different version of Dinosaur was completed but went unreleased due to the third act not being what higher ups wanted. The entire film was rewritten and redone into what we have today.

Also for anyone worried, I highly doubt the entire movie is being "deleted." This was only said due to Batgirl's fate, and we don't even know if that was deleted, it was likely moved to an archive sector of the servers. I've never known a studio to destroy an entire film.
