When I magically arrive in San Francisco by some means not published there’s nothing nicer than the bridge walk to Sausalito. On (magically return to UK day by means unspecified or mentioned) it’s a coffee and cake interlude before the ferry back across the bay.

Discovered just how durable the

is last night. Standing wave downstream of the pyrenees and severe turbulence. Got the crew sat down in time but nearly 4000fpm rate of altitude change and the best part of 900 feet displacement. Didn’t even trigger an aircraft event.

The shudder is caused by the 4 main gear bogies aligning. Unless you are with absolutely zero drift (which is pure luck) there is always a shimmy on landing. If you land with 3-5 degrees of drift it’s really marked
