There’s some medical students who I’ve rotated with who I would never let care for my family. Wouldn’t let them near anyone I love with a 10-ft pole.
Did they know all the answers when asked? Yes. Were they prompt, timely, and made good small talk with seniors? Without question.

I’m a 4th year medical student. At this point in my journey, I’ve learned much more from failing than I have from succeeding. Especially in the way of relationships.
Medical school has strained some of my relationships. And honestly, I’ve let it.
But here’s what I’ve learned:

"I just wrote down that you're a shining star."
I felt seen. And wanted. And at ease.
Residency will be hard. But this part, I will cherish.
