It's been a while since a poster has made so much sense. This is your OCN Classics kdrama. A simple thriller based on a series of crimes that are related to the protagonist. Sweet lord, everyone is outacting each other and I am glued to the edge of my chair.
I feel like we are really diminishing his role by calling him a 2nd lead. He wasn't there to be a love rival for Sunjae. 😔 He was there as Sol's friend of 15 years, he was there as their literal saviour who was destined to put an end to their cruel fate. He was the catalyst for
kim taesung, a character that didn't even exist in the original story. somehow became the variable who put an end to the repeated ill-fated relations in each timeline.
and that is why he's the best second lead ever 💓
OCN needs to make a comeback. Recent crime, thriller and horror KDRAMAS aren't hitting the spot like usual. 😭💔 OCN REALLY WAS THAT QUEEN. Here's a thread of some of my favourite OCN classics;
Strangers From Hell
Trap
Life On Mars
The Guest
Lovely Runner is a fantasy romcom kdrama that has lived up to its genre. It has every trope under the sun, a couple that is destined to fall in love, friendships that are meant to last, tight family units, and most of all, constant flow of joy, tears, and love in every timeline.
People need to stop putting emphasis on ratings for Kdramas. They mean literally nothing! Most of the critically acclaimed dramas have low-ratings like Misaeng, My Mister, Secret Forest, Beyond Evil... Do you know why? Because they're cable dramas.
Just finished watching this drama over the last 3 weeks, and sweet lord, when I tell you it was the most torturous and fun 3 weeks. WATCH IT ON A DAY YOU CAN BINGEWATCH IT ALL AT ONCE!!!!!! TRUST ME!!!!!
Speaking of Korean dramas, if you are looking for a political drama that will have you at the edge of your seat till the last minute, go watch this Mini Series called The Whirlwind on Netflix. The title was very fitting. There was no minute of calm till the end.
what the actual fck? why is this rapist still getting casted? tf is wrong with these people... their reps called it a "misrepresention", lmao... the audacity 🤢🤮
Another drama with another scandalous actor (both accused of the same type of crime!) I need you to backtrack from this and pick up another script, Hyesun.
I don't understand why kdrama twitter finds it so difficult to praise actors who have improved? Like, we can admit they were bad and then praise them for improving. Everyone needs to start somewhere. A lot of the veteran actors started their career on dodgy footing.
1. Seo Moon Jo (Strangers From Hell, 2019)
Unapologetic, cannibalistic, and a true dentist at heart. He didn't discriminate between his victims. HE WANTED THEIR TEETH. Honorable mention to residemce at Eden who added spice to Moon Jo's antics to create his own masterpiece. 💖
This is why My Mister's Lee Ji An is superior to any other female character out there. Girl was just out there having an existential crisis every living second of her life. She was only trying to make it alive till tomorrow morning.
beyond evil is a prime example of how big budget isn't always necessary to make an exemplary kdrama. good acting, good directing and good writing is what creates pure magic on our tv screens. 🥺💖
I will be honest, I didn't like Byeon Wooseok's acting in any one of his prior dramas, but I think he has definitely improved. He has embodied Ryu Sunjae in a way that's hard to explain. He reminds me of Greg Hsu as Li Zhiwei and for that alone, he deserves accolades in my eyes.
Just finished watching finale for the 2nd time. I honestly don't know how to process it all. Lovely Runner was the most beautiful and romantic piece of kdrama this decade. It took me a whole decade, but I have finally found my new favourite romantic kdrama after Healer.
This is making me sick because I thought he had called her number on purpose in EP 1, but then the episode went on to show that they don't know each other and I was like ??? Then EP 2 just changed the entire narrative. What an iconic show. Making me question myself.
rewatching ep1 after watching ep2 is just hits different now.. esp the radio scene & umbrella scene on the bridge🤧 i think we need to pay more attention to seonjae's expressions now, this man surely hides a lot of pain & sadness🤧

#LovelyRunnerEp2
I usually side-eye actors for taking roles from young actors, but Byeon Wooseok was meant to play Sunjae. I am now a die-hard fan of Wooseok just based on Sunjae. 🫠 HE WAS BORN TO PLAY RYU SUNJAE! He was born to be in Lovely Runner with Kim Hyeyoon! IT WAS DESTINY!!!!
WHAT THE FRICK NAMGOONG MIN???? What do I do with my life now that I have seem him like this in The Veil? Is this the same man who played the sensitive yet stern Dreams manager, Baek Seung Soo in Hot Stove League?
I honestly feel like we don't talk enough about how
#LeeJaeWook
is shining as Baek Kyung. I couldn't imagine anyone else as Baek Kyung.

THEY HAD NO BUSINESS KEEPING ME ON THE EDGE OF THE CHAIR...
THAT TENSION WAS PALPITATING. 🥴
Title of the kdrama being, "Nothing Uncovered," is very apt just for this scene alone. 👌
people dont appreciate my man and his range. he didn't play 3 characters in a drama so convincingly as a rookie for yall to dismiss his talent like this... tragic really!
2. Mo Tae Gu (Voice s1, 2017)
A serial killer with class and beautiful taste in music! He was drop dead gorgeous and my God, I'd let him rail me. 🤷♀️ The epic fight between him and the female lead towards the end was S P E C T A C U L A R! It lives on my mind rent free.
The sheer number of foreshadowing alone requires multiple watches of Lovely Runner episodes to fully grasp the simple yet detailed writing. Soljae's chemistry is only just the tip of the iceberg. Along with Hyeyoon and Wooseok living up to their roles; it's all too much.
everytime someone says that jung hae in has no range, i feel like shoving prison playback in their face. surely, the man was nearly typecasted as a meloromance lead (before DP) but to say that he can't act is so wrong. he's one of the few 'newer' leads in kdramaland who can act

We don't give Lee Ha Na enough credit for single handedly shouldering the VOICE series franchise on her shoulders. Voice would cease to exist without Centre Kang and her voice profiling.
I really really really love it when dramas decide to add in shots like these. I don't know exactly why but it makes me feel like I'm part of their lives. As if I am a part of their daily lives. As if I am going on a journey with the characters.

6. Yoon Hee Jae (Come and Hug Me, 2018)
When I tell you, I shook in fear whenever this guy came on my screen, I ain't lying. His presence was so domineering from the start to the end. 👁👄👁 His love for his son and his lack of remorse topped off by his killer gaze.
I really hope that sad excuse of an apology isn't the end of this. He needs to beg his victims for forgiveness for the rest of his life. I hope the victims have found some sort of relief today. Things will get better from here on. 😭❤
SOOD and Lovely Runner sit on the same table for me. Like they are married to each other. Making me question myself and rejoice within the very 1st two episodes??? Dramas rarely ever do that lately. ICONS!!!!
4. Nam Gyu Man (Remember, 2017)
Invented murder. Invented batsh!t crazy chaebol. Just a rich guy with Antisocial Personality Disorder. Now move along!
[Also, honourable mention to Chef Kwon Jae Hee from The Girl Who Sees Scent (2015).]
their love. He was the one who protected it. Protected them. He made SolJae end-game possible.
My baby boy isn't your run-of-the-mill 2nd lead who was just there to make Sunjae jealous. Taesung is why we have our happy ending. Thank you, Taesung.
You give them the source and somehow they still manage to twist it to a point where the main point no longer matters. Why do women go to such extents to defend a man they idolise? What is so redeeming about defending a man who is in the wrong? What do you gain from it?
3. Seo In Woo (Psychopath Diary, 2019)
A serial killer gets involved with a wanna-be psychopath copycat killer. By involved, I mean that he falls in love with the idiot. Hilariry ensues with a bit of "that's wild" and "god, he's sexy with that sword." sprinkled here and there.
They don't make Kdramas like Wise Prison Life, Reply series, My Country The New Age, The Guest, Strangers From Hell, Beyond Evil, King Of Pigs, Through The Darkness, Just Between Lovers, Into The Ring and Inspector Koo anymore. 😔
THE NAMGOONG MIN
Here are a few of his roles that I adore the most. Even when a drama is lackluster, he makes the drama worth watching. 🔥 Man is the definition of what range means.
Lmao, this character's surname is Ryu too, and HE IS DUMB AF TOO for a mafia
Imagine trusting a girl who keeps asking questions upon questions. 😂 If he was a nice fella, he'd be Ryu Sunjae's loser cousin. 😔✌️
Attempting to watch Strong Girl Namsoon again just for Byeon Wooseok. Please pray for me.
The thumbs down is sending me. 2023, me, hated the 1st episode, huh. 😂
