But a single judge, with no due process, cannot shut down the executive branch for a week with a dispute regarding priorities. Single judges are partisan. The Supreme Court can referee disputes between congress and the executive. The Supreme Court can address emergency challenges. But not a single judge. The judge, if he wanted to make this ruling, should have deferred its effect to give the President an opportunity to appeal.

@4HumanUnity @charliekirk11 That a judge can just shut down the President of the United States for a week is definitely constitutionally dubious.

@mattbridgewater @DeAngelisCorey She seemed to be suggesting that the parent acquire a deceptive birth certificate. Perhaps she needed to have been more coy. "I can't suggest any kind of fraud here. I'm just telling you how it works. We use the birth certificate as presented". But that's not what she said.

@aziz0nomics @EshalomX That's nonsense. Just listen to them, and observe what they do when offered autonomy. Gaza could have had a prosperous second state. They chose to kill Jews instead. They say they will choose it until all the Jews are gone. We need to believe them.

@aziz0nomics Of course, but this is almost silly. What they want is a staging ground for the next O7.

@IgnisMonte42296 @JConrBOrtega The police are not civilians in this context. Civilians are the Koreans on the roof with a handgun. Civilians are Kyle Rittenhouse and Daniel Penny. That's civilian law enforcement.

The first problem with citizen law enforcement is that citizens aren't all that well schooled in how to prevent themselves from getting killed. This leads to somewhat excessive death rate of bad guys, which no one minds, but the death of good guys eventually prompts the creation of some form of militia which is paid by citizens. This eventually leads to a militia which is exerting armed authority over the citizens, becoming themselves the bad guys. It's not a real solution.

@aziz0nomics So long as it didn't border Israel. If it were to be a staging ground for an invasion of Israel, that wouldn't be a step toward peace.

@aziz0nomics But you don't live in Gaza, so what you think about what Gazans should do isn't any more relevant than mine. If any of us were Gazans, we'd figure out how to do civilized things and expect the rewards of contemporary western life. But we're not Gazans.

@sentdefender I think you heard something that most of us didn't hear. I didn't hear "control and occupy".
