Seems like Members, on a bipartisan basis didn’t buy the argument. BTW it would have been 14 flights not 7.
.@repburgessowens’s amendment to the FAA authorization bill would lower flight prices & increase market competition, allowing more westerners to visit our nation’s capital. It’s past time we amend the archaic perimeter rule & allow for 7 more direct flights to DCA from western states. #utpol

Had the good fortune of doing same the other day and it should never get old.

To be fair @brianjameswalsh the time to address government spending is through reforming mandatory spending programs which far surpass total federal spending than does regular discretionary spending.

Says he likes the concession on appropriations “The man or the woman who’s in the committee and the subcommittee, spending two years reading the inspector general reports, GAO reports, they should be making those decisions, not kicked up to elected leadership.”
