Just seen my lad playing FIFA as Wimbledon in a kit I had a hand in. It’s the little stuff that matters most. Had we not taken charge of Wimbledon’s football club his local side with 100+ yrs history would have been a campfire story at best. A faded photograph. It’s alive & well.

Tell this a lot on May 14… 1988 - got home finally at 3am. Spent. Quietly opened door to not disturb folk - dad stepped out the shadows, had waited for me. “Knew you’d win - good night mate”. He’s no longer here but that memory is a great example of what a beautiful man he was.
