Back in 1976.
I got in early to the second Sex Pistols gig at the Screen on the Green.There was a huge bundle of flyers they were giving out promoting the forthcoming single God Save The Queen.
I took the lot.
I hid them round the back, and then used them to wallpaper my bedroom!

Played on Band On The Run,(released in the USA on this day 50 years ago) By far the best post Beatles album by a former member..
He was also the singer on the Moody Blues hit Go Now…

In episode 3 of Pistol. Where they play the song Bodies. They’re obviously trying to re-create this night at The 100 Club. That’s me in the middle dressed in black.
They did not play Bodies that night. In fact I saw them about 12 times in 1976, and I never saw them play Bodies!!!

So sad to hear of the passing of Wilko Johnson..
I saw Dr Feelgood many times in their early days 75/76. They were explosive on stage. Blowing away many of the hippie bands sharing the bill with them. I know there were plenty of young punks to be, at these gigs… RIP
