@bobbicee I was incredibly lucky to not only meet but take him out for dinner after the Richard Whiteley memorial service in York. He was very hungry so Katherine (Richard’s partner) asked if I would find him somewhere to eat. It was fascinating hearing his stories. Often think about him

@Chris_Arundel @andycomfort Oh no it isn’t. But seriously @Maggie_Curtiss editor of Radio Humberside what’s going on here? It’s gathering momentum this story and it won’t play well for the BBC. “BBC Radio station bans mention of event to support its own children in need charity” won’t look good.

This is frankly unbelievable. @JasonHorton_uk surely you can not be scared of mentioning past presenters who left, not under a cloud but as part of your restructuring. I would point out that they are probably all licence fee payers too. Looking forward to a reply @andycomfort
Please read this thread by former BBC Radio Humberside presenter Andy Comfort, one of those giving up their time to put on a show in Bridlington and Hull raising money for BBC Children in Need. The 'management' decision here is as wrong as it could possibly be.
