@financial_shaw Our rental flat is an EPC of E and only 1 point away from being an F. The only way to make it a C would be to demolish it and rebuild it from scratch. I'm not sure if the downstairs neighbours would be happy with that 🤔

@moving_charlie So the BOE is currently predicting 3 further rate cuts over the next 3 years and the base rate to settle at 4% in 2028. 🤔

@alexgroundwater @LondonMoneyFS You can still get a Feast. My Sainsbury's local sells them! They also sell Fabs 😊

@rupertlo7 @LondonMoneyFS Most London flats are worth less than in 2016. New builds will be even worse once the shiny new kitchens and bathrooms start to fall apart after a year

@MortgageMikeN2 @linmeitalks I'm not even sure if your Cemap counts as educational attainment Mike? Isn't it equivalent to GCSE level?

@moving_charlie And you have to remember that the credit report companies are there to sell you credit cards and loans. Your actual credit score figure is really just a gimmick. The banks etc make their own assessments based on your history

@Adam_Hosker @michaelh0201 @MortgageMikeN2 I meant that houses would cost 3 x salary not that they could only borrow 3 x salary. I also never said they shouldn't lend to couples, I was merely asking what level of care was taken by lenders regarding the risk of couples splitting up.

@Adam_Hosker @michaelh0201 @MortgageMikeN2 No I just want everyone to be able to afford a house on 3 X salary, pay off their mortgage in their 40s and have enough disposable income to retire early and have a fantastic life 😊

@MortgageMikeN2 Just out of interest, have any of you guys ever refused a mortgage application because you thought the couple applying might not be together for much longer?

@moving_charlie They are not 'too clever to be greedy', it's more like greed is one of the number of emotions that autistic people struggle with. By definition yes he probably is greedy but it's a different emotion to him. It's not something he could fully define or properly control.

@deeemacd @moving_charlie Strange then considering the high percentage of relationships that fall apart
