@Deandawiz @jcaravella I have experience intermittent stops from sun and shade patterns on the road. I have had it force me to take control in the rain. I live in FL also.

@Britlad95 Trump ran on lowering the price of Bacon. This might be another ploy to increase the price by opponents?

@elonmusk hey there, Harry Boles I noticed that you changed your handle on X and yet for some mysterious reason, the blue checkmark did not disappear. Is this going to be a new feature for all of us who are terrified to change our usernames because we’ll be down for three days?

@Tesla @Teslarati @teslaownersSV @elonmusk While driving on FSD today, I had a camera alert telling me that something was blocking one of my cameras. I decided to go to a car wash and sure enough one of the cameras had a bug splattered over it. Made me think that car washes could ensure that they have Brushes at the exact levels necessary to clear all cameras for FSD vehicles. Then it occurred to me that if a car wash took the time and effort to ensure that that was the case, then it would be logical to advertise that capability for any FSD enabled vehicle vehicles Tesla, or not. Obviously, there will be a much larger population of Tesla vehicles in time as well as non-Tesla FSD vehicles. And then it occurred to me that if you had the capability to clear the cameras, you could offer special services like rain X glass treatment for your camera view ports, making a nice upsell for Tesla FSD cleaning car washes. And if somebody took all the effort to upgrade their car wash specifically for Teslas or FSD enabled vehicles, why not have the camera occlusion alert identify car washes that are able to meet the service requirement to clear the cameras. That could be a marketing licensing opportunity for the car wash on the Tesla map and of course the service offering to be on the map could be a small fee to the car wash from Tesla.

@ScottAdamsSays Gamification of news is probably the most fun version of Whack-a-Mole yet! With community notes it is possible to keep them from popping up so often. Would be good if we could figure out a good scoring system!

I did this one time and got a warning. Never done it since. Sometimes when you see those “follow me back” threads, if there is a topic in there, I will post an opinion, but never for the follows. Let things grow naturally I say. This isn’t an income for me, it is fun and a gamified way of injecting my opinions into politics and culture from the peanut gallery.

Not really. I am pretty resilient. But tick me off? Yeah. I would always focus on what was cool in what I did, and didn’t let it bug me too much. But it is the after part. Getting laid off for no real reason. Having to sign a waiver that it had nothing to do with ageism to get my severance, and knowing that the company was as woke as an over caffeinated DEI HR staffer is what got me angry. And to know that while I was able to tune out most of the irritants by always being involved in cool projects, it still had an impact on my career. I wasn’t ready to retire at 57. I wanted to work until I was about 62. Not because of money, but because I like it. So now, I am on my own, and because the AI driven resume factories don’t do a good job, I just quit trying to find anything. I don’t really care, financially retiring now is fine. But I didn’t get to choose. I like making my own choices.

The thing that prevents people from being able to recognize experts in anything at a young age is the reality that most people don’t pursue expertise at such a young age. I would say at 19, I was expert at playing guitar, long distance biking, chasing girls, spinning rifles, massage (Dad was a Physical Therapist so I learned from him), and repairing cars. My father on the other hand at 19, was in the guts of the F-111, F-15, and F-14. He started out in the air force as a jet engine mechanic, and evolved into a crafts person who created physical mockups. The keel of the F-15 landing gear was fitted into the vechile by him using balsa wood and a handful of measuring and carving devices. He was on hand for the C&C/Extrusion later that became the real parts. And he was brought to the testing sight where they took off and landed using Air Craft Carrier style landings to be on hand if anything didn’t work correctly. So while I didn’t ever get as technical as my Dad, he was a deep expert at 19 as well, and by 26 he had provided some small input as well for the LEM module. If you haven’t figured it out, he is one of my hero’s, and one of the people that inspires me to drive on. Still kicking at 83, and while I have become expert in a number of computer areas that he has not, he is still one of the smartest sharpest people I know. It doesn’t fade if you keep at it.

I have been taking a scoop of Creatine along with a scoop of greens blend for general vitamin supplements rather than a handful of pills. I also put in a scoop of Collagen Peptides, as well as a moderately overflowing scoop of green tea powder, and some freeze dried blueberry powder. I used to put this mix in with a sugar free electrolyte drink (like Gatorade, but the Sam’s knock off. But with the addition of the blueberry and the flavored greens, no need, so now just filtered water. I find using a blender to mix makes it velvety smooth and no powder granules. Pour it over ice and drink. I have tried throwing a few cubes into the blender, but if it is too slushy, the powder tends to clump up before you finish it. (Because you kinda need to drink slowly to prevent brain freeze!) I still take a few pills despite going for the vitamin powder. I like to kick it up with some Vitamin D, as well as (being over 55) some prostate blend, and Milk Thistle for my liver (long story, but genetic condition, and I don’t drink since I found that out…) I also have a few meds to add for normal stuff. Thyroid because that was ablated when I was 27, and BP meds. Finally, because I don’t want to inject the GLP stuff, I take an appetite suppressant that seriously works. It has help me drop 5 pounds in the past month, and keeps it off, all while not making me nauseous the way the injections do. (I am trying to lose weight because when they knocked out my thyroid, I went from about 130 to 240, then after getting out of the military, I went all the way up to 270.) I am back in the 230s now, and hoping to get down ultimately to about 190 to 210. But Creatine is central to my blend, and I must say I haven’t felt better. My mix is intended to knock out the “AG1” story, which is about $80/month if you take it beyond the promotional period. My blend probably costs me about $40/month including the pills, as most of the powder mixes tend to be between $10 to $20 for a 60 day supply. And yes, I shop them all the time, looking for the best ingredients, as well as price.

@elonmusk So for folks terrified that the SSA will dry up before retirement, when the graft and fraud are removed, might it actually remain solvent for the younger generations retirements? (Assuming we can actually protect it?)

@stijnnoorman The only science you need to know. When you walk up to a bar, the bartender will often say “pick your poison”. Widely known fact. Alcohol is poison. @ScottAdamsSays
