Our Penrose project in Bozeman MT just won top honors at NAHB for best multifamily rental project up to 3 stories. So proud of our entire team and grateful to our partners and the builder / developer community for embracing it.

A new community we’re developing. These homes front a series of activated linear parks that connect each neighborhood to each other, a future Village Square and a wonderful school next door. Who needs a car when you have big curb bulbs and separated bike lanes…!

We've gone round and round on this with multiple GC's. Ended up doing flooring after cabinets on one project (at the GC's recommendation). Felt it was worthwhile to do flooring late to protect it as much as possible.

The 120 cottages are all connected by linear parks and paseos to a community clubhouse, a future Village Square and great schools. Several car share options and either assigned or attached garages.
During 2022, we wrapped up infrastructure on Phases 1 and 2, built two parks, broke ground on a community of 120 Cottages and will soon launch our Porches and Bungalows homes.
Excited for a busy and active 2023 for this brand new community in Bozeman Montana.

Exactly. She made her intentions clear and got the plane on the ground. Always good to learn from events, but lay off the pilot here. She got it done.
Great progress on our Eden project in Downtown LA. Seven stories with 235 units and nine different amenity areas (with just one level of underground parking). We’ve also set aside 47 workforce units and 12 very low income units. Anticipated completion in late summer 2024.
Excited to deliver 235 rental residences in LA later this summer.

Got to spend a couple hours walking my parents through our

project yesterday.
When I was little, my dad and I would hop the fence of construction sites and walk around (pls don’t do that!). He’d have me draw the floor plan later. Wonder why I love construction now…?
Wrapped up demo this week on the Eden site in Downtown LA. Excited for the real fun to begin. Spent countless months refining our amenities with the team… can’t wait to go vertical.
We started working on Blackwood Groves over five years ago, with a vision of delivering a walkable community that offers a diversity in residential product types across a range of price points.
Very excited for our first residents to start moving into the Cottages tomorrow! 🏠🌳

Love it. This is right in-line with what we’ve envisioned for Blackwood Groves in Bozeman. A 120-acre community with all neighborhoods connected via linear parks/paseos to a Village Square with skating rink, restaurants, hotel, etc. Huge variety of housing types and price points.
Yesterday, almost 3 yrs after closing on Blackwood Groves, we recorded our final plat for phase 1. We often don’t stop for long enough to celebrate and enjoy these small (yet monumental) steps over the course of our projects. A HUGE “Thank You!!” to all who helped along the way.

Victoria Flats will offer 82 rental residences @ Blackwood Groves, situated adjacent to the planned Village Square.
Its contemporary mountain architecture is based on Bridger Land Group’s award-winning “Penrose”, also on Bozeman’s southside.
Just got to NYC with my family. Haven’t been here for a few years (after spending 10 years living in the City until we had kids).
My main takeaway is that I am even more obsessed with highrises and construction sites than when I left… 😃🤓

We added parking to our 2nd level at the Eden (instead of a second level sub-t) with the idea we’d convert that space to additional units if / when parking demand declines. Added height on that level (13.5’) to make the conversion feasible with great units. Very long-term hold…
We’ve completed the first two phases of infrastructure (covering roughly 50 acres) and are underway on the third. Currently working on a 120 Cottage community and the first single family homes.

Thankfully warming up quite a bit in Bozeman and the rain held off long enough in LA this morning.
The exterior facade at Penrose really comes alive at night, with lighting to highlight the wood detailing on the oversized balconies and up/down lighting to wash the corrugated metal accents that harken back to the area’s agricultural history. 💡🌾
My 6yo son was taken to the hospital in an ambulance last week.
I hold absolutely zero empathy for blocking any access roads and it is generally illegal in most jurisdictions.

An ambulance is transporting a 9-year-old girl. She has sustained life-threatening injuries and will die if she does not make it to the hospital in 15 minutes. The only way to get there in time is the Brooklyn Bridge, which is being blocked—illegally—by protesters.

and I’d love an opportunity to explain what we developers are actually experiencing on the ground. For that sum, we could realistically build 160 market rate units or 80 affordable units based on avg unit pricing today.

A study found that CA would need to spend $100 billion thru 2035 in order to build 112,500 affordable units.
That is $890,000 per unit. For affordable housing.
Market rate developers are building amenitized buildings for half that.
Why not save $50 billion by working together?
The Bungalows will offer a more traditional ambiance while maintaining a strong connection to the community.
