This man also flew Mig21 and shot down a B-52 (the only living pilot to do so). He is still alive in Hanoi, if you visit the city, try to see if you can meet him for a coffee. Legendary.
Did you know? 🔭 The first Asian cosmonaut is from #Vietnam! 🇻🇳 Phạm Tuân is the first Asian and the first Vietnamese in #space! ✨ Happy belated #InternationalDayofHumanSpaceFlight! 🚀 #YurisNight #VietAstro #HAAC

“If you’re a communist and not supporting the national liberation of the colony, what kind of communist you are ?”. That’s why he left the French Socialist Party, formed the French CP and joined the 3rd International led by Lenin.

Translation of the sign: “Here on 26 October 1967 at Truc Bach Lake in the capital city of Hanoi John Sidney McCain was shot out of the sky in his A4 aircraft by local citizens militia defending Yen Phu. There were 10 other planes shot down on the same day.”
.@JoeBiden visits the John McCain memorial in Hanoi, Vietnam. “I miss him, I miss him. He was a good friend,” Biden said.

In another news, Vietnam aims to build 1 million social and low cost housing mainly for industrial workers. The plan is officially approved today, which include credit support, max interest rate set, etc.
Gov't has approved a program to build at least one million social housing apartments by the end of this decade

@BadSocialisms It is a memorial of the AD defender who shot down McCain. He was depicted surrenderring and rising both his hand. Only the US shamelessly make it as McCain “memorial”. If you read the sign, it is clear it is anout shooting him down.

You don’t call the Ansarallah as “Houths” just like you don’t call the National Liberation Front (NLF) as “Vietcong”. They are both derogatory term designed by the US to discredit the mass movement. Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap in the video below rejecting the “Vietcong” term.
Every time I refer to the group to an unlearned audience, I write "Houthis" in quotation marks. "Houthis" is a derogatory tribalist term heralding from the early days of the first Saadah wars back in 2004. Saleh used it to discredit the movement's wide national appeal. The.

They brag in the movie “one Korean soldiers can kill 20-100 VC” and also “Korean soldier is Vietnamese heroes. - so the govt pull a plug. It actually violate our cinema law. For those who say we “forget” the war. Remember south Korea is one of the biggest source of FDI in VN.
The Vietnamese government requested Netflix to stop showing its Korean original series “Little Women” on Wednesday, insisting that the drama distorts the Vietnam War (1960-75) and violates media and cinema laws. #LittleWomen #vietnam_littlewomen .

Interesting thread about cashew processing and export. The author did not explain why processing can be developed in VN (we used to export raw cahsew and other things too) and NOT in Cote d’Ivoire. It has a lots to do with our socialist government.
1. I recently learned that although the world's largest producer of cashews is Côte d’Ivoire, the world's largest exporter of cashews is Vietnam. Vietnam is making a fortune. Côte d’Ivoire is not. This is a story of successful globalization and failed industrialization.

So proud of you my countrymen ! And funny thing is the Israeli think they can film and “cancel” the guy while in fact he will even be more respected in VN lol.
🇻🇳🇵🇸 A restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam refused to serve Israeli customers. “My shop doesn't accept people from your country.”. The restaurant also displays a 'Free Palestine' sticker on its sign. Make sure to visit the 'Railway Tuan Café' when visiting Vietnam!

The whole world (except country who oppose UN resolution in 1979) owns Vietnamese people an apology. Destroying the Khmer rouge and saving life of million Cambodian is akin to what the Soviet did in WW2 - destroying Nazi and saving Jews.

Less than 4 days and Cuba already announced they will give us 10M doses of Abdala and transfer the technology to us. Majority of Vietnamese are overjoyed with this and whoever talked sh*t aboutnour brother got destroyed lol 🇨🇺❤️🇻🇳.
Very good news! And VN will surely have it in the future when the situation allows. We may even help Cuba to scale up production as well.

We delivered this message consistently over a long time. When the US got annoyed, our diplomat said “this is what a real friend will do and we believe even the US wants a real friend as well”. Smart answer, as the US cannot publicly said they only want minion who obey them lol.
Vietnam at the UN: "We stand in firm solidarity with the people of Cuba, and call for the immediate lifting of the unilateral [US] embargo against Cuba, contrary to international law". Vietnam emphasized that the "confrontational and zero-sum game approach must be eliminated"

I literally study and research nano-materials and I was pretty clueless about ML a few years ago (even with hogh school education). Particle physics does not automatically make you smart and inderstand everything.
I love having literally studied particle physics in college and then being told that I don't understand the "science" of "Marxist"-Leninism. Maybe. and just hear me out, you guys are not scientists, but you are instead in an ahistorical cult?.

Are you that stupid to not understand basic diplomacy ? Diplomatic normalcy does not mean we approve its atrocity, idiot. Ngu hơn con lợn mà còn thích nói nhiều.
You're preaching ultra left stupidities you learned from your white American boyfriend to your mainly white American audience. We can't use our own flag? Then why does VIETNAM use it so liberally?

And this is life at the “richest” area in the whole VN ! Imagine what will be in the country side. Life changes significantly after the 2000. So we can fully understand what Cuban are going through. Sanction kills, so #LetCubaLive.

This “guava shape shrapnel” killed my grand-father, a normal civilian in north Vietnam in 1969. And it was designed to kill civilian only, as the content inside (metal ball) cannot destroy any large structure.
During Vietnam War, Sweden is the only Western country condemned Americans when US Admin ordered bomb Vietnam "back into stone age". Have a look for the Made in USA gallery. Million UXOs and mines are still waiting to kill in Vietnam land 50 years after.

There were a group of ~20 DPRK pilot who volunteered to fight in VN against the USAF and they all killed in combat. This is little known fact about the DPRK support to north Vietnam during the war.
In 1967, Kim Il Sung agreed to send 700 DPRK volunteers with weapons & equipment to assist the Cuban military against the threat of a U.S. invasion. The DPRK-Cuban alliance during the Cold War was based on a shared revolutionary history, ideology, & resistance to U.S. imperialism
