Since I quit smoking pot, I've saved $4K. Being sober is difficult: days feel long, bad experiences are harder to let go of, boredom is overwhelming. Sobriety hasn't made me more productive, happy, or hopeful. I'm facing pain & regret I sidestepped for years. But I AM facing it.

My wife is finishing moving out today. We agreed to split about 10 weeks ago after more than a decade together. We've both been in a better mood since - especially me. No kids, no drama, no violence or rage. Just a necessary change as we had grown apart. I'm grateful to be OK💪🖤

After 6 weeks in Chicago, I'm heading back to Fort Collins to close a chapter. I'll be selling the bulk of my vinyl collection, moving out of my house, and saying goodbye to my ex-wife. I'm dreading the process but entrenched and optimistic about moving on - with purpose.

Surprisingly melodic death metal w/a clear, accessible approach that's still heavy as hell. Up front multi-gear vocals w/discernable lyrics, thick cyberdeath leads, towering waves of grim rhythms. Efficient & focused at 33min, the LP feels safe but solid w/strong quality control.

Really impressed with this list. Knowing the huge variety of Metallum users, for an album to make this list it had to be a gigantic crossover success with heavy heads. And seeing both Ad Nauseam and Stargazer is HEAVENLY 😍
