It riles me that George Best is ignored on the Greatest player lists. His Alcohol problems harmed his legacy but he was European Footballer of the year at 22 and never even reached his peak. That shouldn't detract that he was the Best Footballer on the Planet until he was 26.

Baxter fields a weakened Crusaders team v Linfield. 8 changes. No relevance to Glentoran because we had already blown it... but Cliftonville deserved better. A lack of sporting integrity that needs to be stored in the memory bank and reciprocated if the need arises. Never forget.

The inherent expectancy that enthusiasts will continue to lend their support to a club that doesn't respect the beliefs and principles of the majority - is a huge mistake. Players, Managers & Directors come and go. Supporters remain unless they are driven away. Respect costs zero

Keep the faith. Cliftonville are very good side and fair play to them because they haven't the resources of Linfield and Glentoran. This League is going right to the wire. Excellent crowd at the Oval last night. That's as many Reds fans than I've seen at the Oval for some years.

Heard the sad news that proper Legend ex Glentoran, Newcastle United & Northampton player, Eric Ross, has passed away at home in Canada. Eric had been ill for a while, but it's still a shock to learn of his passing. One of the Greats. Rest in peace Eric.
