The residents of Bedford voted against it.
This is why street safety should never be left to a popular vote
We're deeply saddened to hear about the fatal crash in Bedford this past weekend. A 53-year-old woman was walking her bicycle across Concord Road at the Reformatory Branch Trail crosswalk when she was struck and killed by a distracted driver.

City Point's north-to-south running one-way streets are very effective at funneling thru traffic to the only two-way street, L street.
But this makes it difficult for bicycles to get through Southie without using the high-traffic corridor of L street.

Regular train service on the Red Line Ashmont Branch & Mattapan Line resumed this morning after a successful 16-day diversion. GM Eng rode from Park St to Mattapan & back to experience firsthand all the work we accomplished, including lifting all 38 slow zones.
