Trump stated he would cap credit card interest rate at 10%; average rate sits around 23%. This would be a game-changer for so many households and businesses. I would also like to see him go after issuing banks for high interchange costs. Small and mid-size businesses cannot

I’m seeing posts mocking Trump saying “villages”. Yes, villages in America still exist.
I live in an area considered a village. We have about 1500 primary residents. He was absolutely correct using the term villages.
Townships, cities and towns can have villages within them.

I’ve been so immersed in politics, I nearly forgot about Trucker Appreciation Week.
My hubs gave up his music career during COVID to drive a truck and my son (veteran) drives for TMC (marines of trucking).
Thank you to all the truckers. They’re the backbone of America.

I worked remotely for 16 of my 25 years in the banking industry. It had its ups and downs. I believe the majority actually work more than 40 hours per week. I experienced a few over the years that were constantly MIA. It’s about a persons work ethic.

Thank you, I’ll work on my resume’. Honestly, I retired a few months ago and have been active for a short time. In 2021 when I joined, it was brief and gathering stock info. I’m a wife, mother of 3 adult sons and a ya-ya to 3 grands.

Google some of their crazy laws. I assume a lot of states still have outdated laws but in Cali woman cannot drive a car in their housecoat (men can) and in one Cali county you can only wear boots if you own at least 2 cows!! My veteran son got the hell out of there due to Cali

Understand your point. However, it’s different than capping products in a grocery store. He proposed a temporary 10% cap. There’s always been regulations within payments processing. Issuing banks make money off the interest from cardholders plus interchange fees for those

I agree. I know there’s been movement at county level to end the backlog and arrests have been made. That’s a great start but so many women, children and even men waiting years for justice, while rapist roam free or have already passed away. You should push this, brilliant &

Exactly. Issuing banks not only make money off interest paid by cardholders, they make money from merchants who have to pay interchange fees. Credit card companies offer special interest rates for short-term or until you’re late 1 time. I’m sure they would not make a huge fuss on

Absolutely! In my twenties you’ve described my situation 100%. Shit happens and to have a credit card as backup is needed for folks living paycheck to paycheck. Plus college kids who work and go to school, they rely on credit cards as well. Americans need that 10% cap. Trust me,

I believe his intention is to cap it temporarily 10% to help households and businesses payoff or put a dent in their balance. At 23%-30%, minimum payments sometimes does not even pay the interest. This would be a massive help to Americans if he can make it happen. Government has

Personally I always pay mine off monthly. However, a good example is a small business who uses their business/corp card to order inventory. Majority cannot pay off balance monthly because said inventory has not sold yet or produced enough income. Credit cards are a slippery

I’ve witnessed folks selling their EBT benefits for cash (50 cents on a dollar). I’m not sure how that scenario could be regulated.
I agree there needs to be an overhaul , the system is broken.

I grew up in KY and currently live in TN. I’ve always provided ID. It’s never been an issue. I cannot wrap my head around states not wanting or adapting to require proof of identity or citizenship.
