@LRH_Superfan
It's extra bad for Japan because people refer to each other by last name instead of first name unless they are close friends or family.
Imagine if everyone in America was named "John"
@vaxryy
Its insane how slow freedesktop is, 15+ years and they still havent finalized many of the protocols. Took them years to merge a working xwayland fractional scaling patch, and afaik its still not actually merged
@JackPosobiec
Guys. It's just a balloon. There's nothing a balloon can do that a satellite can't. This was nothing more than a troll, or a mild provocation at worst.
The Pentagon knows this and thus chose to do nothing. Getting riled up over this is exactly what the Chinese government wants.
@DoombergT
If the space industry has taught me anything, it's that liquid hydrogen is much harder to handle than any other fuel, including liquid methane or kerosene.
@DoombergT
So if he is building an LNG export facility in the name of a Hydrogen export facility, then it would also have to be overbuilt to accomodate the added difficulties of burning hydrogen.
@simplic10
@TaeKahn
"primary color" seems to be quite exclusively a concept in the arts so ig its *ok*. To say that electromagnetic radiation is not related to electricity though...
@eigenrobot
RV's do the same thing, offer much more flexibility, and are much cheaper. Might offer a financially sound alternative to renting too if you live in the bay area. Only downside is that most RV's tend to be smaller than a train car.
@RichardHanania
> misogynistic antisemitic white nationalist Christian fascist incel
You know they're just throwing names around at people they dont like when they start calling people incel. The real fascists are the ones trying to control the people that you're allowed to meet.
@ZyMazza
Linux and gaming is already a PITA without throwing Nvidia into the mix. I suggest getting another SSD and dual booting windows if you want to game.
@RichardHanania
Its such a shame that our taxes are being wasted on such a garbage systems while at the same time parents have to shell out so much extra money to send their kids to private school if they want their kids to get a decent education
@SciGuySpace
It's good seeing NASA admins being really good at their job after so many years! Hopefully one day we can have a telescope named after Bridenstine or Bill Nelson!

And building the coal power plants that Germany (& other countries) use to replace nuclear plants don't need any of those things? Keeping existing plants open requires minimal resources, just remotely competent politicians.
@eigenrobot
The more I think about this the more I realize the butterfly effect comes into play. I was going to mention Deng Xiaoping but had Mao's son never died in the Korean War, he would of likely succeed Mao making China no more prosperous than North Korea under the Kims.
@actualAlexJames
@alx
@money_jimmy
@elonmusk
Exactly. The European Dark Ages happened because there was no replacement for Rome after its fall. As the world faces population decline and America/the west is in cultural decline, it is all the more critical that should America collapse, there will be a replacement on standby.
@eigenrobot
On one hand I want to say 500 years is stretching it, but considering the amount of Jewish phycists that would of been salughtered had Germany not been defeated by America, we would not have relativity and quantum mechanics would probably be nowhere near where it is today.
@var_epsilon
As someone who current attends this school, I can tell you that its the grinding-focused attitude that it instills in you.
People love to flaunt when they get a FAANG or otherwise good job, so it leaves you feeling an urgency to grind so you can either catch up or keep up
@anarchakelly
@geekethics
And then they complain when those workers aren't paid enough. Then they complain that the corporations are evil for raising the prices of carrots when people can't afford carrots anymore.
@FemboyDCS
Not only is it an aircraft from 1964, but a low end one intended for export for countries that couldn't afford the F-4 which was the American flagship of the time
@ZyMazza
Lol no, nobody buys it. You can have a windows install where the only purpose is to play games.
If you insist on gaming on Linux/Nvidia, then uhh... Good luck because you will waste a lot of time and it will be finicky at best.
@UBERSOY1
@Barbarian_Brain
Meanwhile mainstream media: science proves leftism linked with depression and anxiety! Oh wait, the mainstream propaganda only jumps to conclusions that benefit their narrative.
Sometimes I feel like I wasn't born with enough brain cells to have an easy and interesting life, and yet too autistic to enjoy life the "normie" way.
The result is an endless cycle of boredom and suffering.
The pain of anxiety, stress, and failure.
@DoombergT
Lmao so China, Russia, and America can no longer export hydrocarbons to Germany. Hope they had fun shutting down their nuclear plants because they're the worlds laughing stock rn
@anpaure
At least this guy's getting interviews, I can't get a single interview for a job that pays substantially better than unskilled labour and when I ask people for resume advice they say my resume is fine (multiple people). Might need a contingency for leaving the tech industry.
@WallStreetSilv
@DoombergT
I must say that it feels good to see Germany pay for it's lies about nuclear energy. May all who oppose the truth face the same fate.
@tszzl
Except a gerontocratic society will have no qualms about sacrificing everyone else over for the sake of the old and dying, which is exactly what the west did with its lockdowns.
@simonwakter
So Germany would rather (greenhouse) gas it's people and the world rather than switching to a more sustainable solution. Mandela effect or has this happened before? 🤔
@Erdayastronaut
@elonmusk
I feel like the altitude at which the satellites are released, it shouldn't matter as any retention rod should deorbit very quickly anyways.
The funny part is that this isn't even a walkable city. Everything is still far apart, thoroughfares surrounded by car-scaled fields of nothing. Just because you removed half the lanes and put sod over the parking doesn't mean it's walkable.
Land use is important yo
