@sisidoyin @u_spellings If I never knew English and saw the word Diarrhea for the first time, I’d know exactly what it meant because the word sounds like incessant shitting.

@soyciologist @sbodrojan Apparently not everyone has crippling anxiety and sensitivity to the sound of their phones. I don’t understand.

To preserve Black culture and the survival of Black people globally, we must become conscious of how white people have employed digital colonization to steal from & erase us. I am referring to AA culture and Black people globally. I am not exaggerating when I say this.
Another episode of “How everything on this app originated with Black People” and “what most of what we know as Gen Z culture is just a whitewashed version of Black American culture.” I know that’s right honey! Let me get into this creator.

@RipCity_NextUP @HipHopDX Well, technically, it’s no longer just him. She’s involved. They deserve each other. No one told her to get married and have a baby with a rapist. She’s just as complicit. Maybe worse… since she’s using her wealth to help him.

@heyyberv This is exactly why I do not speak with my mom. This is how guilty, entitled, abusive Mothers act. This is textbook. I have had similar interactions with my mom. The last one was exactly like this and I stopped speaking to her after it. I hope Chyna keeps her children away.

@_haaniyah_ I like what Toni Morrison said about writer’s block in “Black Women Writers at Work.” I hope this helps 🫂.(It was the affirmation I needed because I never write through it and I always feel bad for not pushing through. Instead, I spend more time thinking and taking notes.)

@_haaniyah_ It is life sustaining! I have a new crush who asked to be pen pals and seeing her first letter in my mailbox was truly exhilarating. I knew it was her even before I saw the address and name. IMO, having a crush is one of the most important human experiences.

@libcrusher5000 @soyciologist @sbodrojan But I check it all the time (because anxiety LOL). I do not want to hear or see it and I want the option to ignore on the rare occasion that I forget about my phone. I’m on DND 24/7. It’s the only way I can get work done🙁 I also get every distracted easily.

@TheBlackLayers I finished the video last night and thought: if my lawyer even anonymously put my business out there like this??? She’s fired. You (the lawyer) must be mad. I thought I was overreacting but it was so ICKY to me.

@dvulton Y’all wanna see more? He thinks Jonathan Majors is innocent. If you want to read the truth about Majors, here’s a difficult read via Rolling Stones on Majors’ abuse dating back a decade.

@ozzyetomi He’s now turning 5 next month and he’s so good at explaining why he’s upset. Before he cries, he tells me he needs to cry & why. It’s the cutest and funniest thing. Sometimes it makes me cry how considerate he is. He rarely throws tantrums because I gave him words & space to feel.

@killdads If you read this thread, also read “On Love” by Alain de Botton. In the chapter Marxism, he addresses this.

@ozzyetomi What worked for me was talking to my two years old. I would explain how his actions make me feel and why I needed him to do something. Whether take a nap, eat, bath or have quiet time. I would always empathize with how he was feeling, I’d acknowledge his frustrations & it helped.

@rrandolphjr I don’t think people are lying, maybe a small amount but I think a lot of people read it but because they do not have the right political praxis, they have missed what hooks what getting across. I have had to read it 3 times (and counting) to truly understand.

@venusinreverse And what’s the most unsettling is that she has been in physically and emotionally abusive relationships with white men but her visuals depict dark skin Black men as the violent ones. And this isn’t saying that Black men haven’t been violent. It’s just unsettling.

@marcmalkin @Variety This was a distasteful piece to write especially since MKW was very outspoken about needing support. The least you could have done is research.

@TankussArt I love these responses. It’s always the people with no intentions of ever supporting who ask you to raise your prices. Buy it at $100 first, let’s start there. Congrats on being true to yourself and not being swayed by what people think you should be doing. Your art is amazing.

@ozzyetomi My son will sometimes allow the kiss, then wipe it off. Last weekend, I asked why he wipes off my kisses and he says because I have bad breath. He’s 3 💀💀.

@Akuma_380 @contrarylarry1 @koppes_joshua @WamsWrld This is literally all a lie. He got exposed for only donating $50 then donated $20,500 because we made fun of him. Jfc, you can mourn someone you love without turning them into martyrs and rewriting truth.

@ask_aubry One thing that’s bone chilling to me is how he asks for advice to gain control/leverage in his marriage (per his own words). He wants to be in her good graces again, but not if he looks weak. This is what has caused knots on my shoulders. I worry about this woman and her child.

It is not lost on me that some of Nigeria’s most famous feminist with large platforms on twitter continue to ignore the transphobic violence of Chimamanda. It is disgraceful but also very telling. Disgusted.
If you had told 12 year old Jola that 28 year old Jola will interview the author of her favorite book (purple hibiscus) she would have laughed you out of the room. But it happened oh. It happened. Jola X Chimamanda 🥰🥰🥰🥰

@TheBlackLayers I had a breakup last May that solidified this for me. We never get over anything. We actually grow around it if we allow ourselves to grief. It becomes one of the things as opposed to THE THING. I see grief sometimes as an honor. It means I have loved. It is an honor to love.

@_haaniyah_ It’s a win for chemically engineered beauty products and a loss for the “natural” beauty industry that needs to die yesterday. Changed my life for real.

@lingerie_addict It contradicted itself at every turn. From the hours spent trying to get a specific curl patterns to the BIZARRE regimens, to the obsession about edges and the list goes on. When I had natural hair, and for a very long time, I just let what grew out of my head be.
