the main thing on-chain poker solves is verifiability (i.e the game isn't rigged), if you have the logic off chain you lose this and don't rly offer anything over normal online poker apps that are already huge

Past couple days have really showcased the culture difference between EVM and Solana with regards to innovation to me.

Excited for this release! Anchor has been getting a lot of hate on the TL lately for 2 main reasons
- overhead vs native rust
- new idl and declare_program! being buggy
The overhead remains for now, but point 2 should be mostly fixed with this release!
Anchor v0.30.1 is out!
Includes various improvements and bug fixes.
Most notably, the conversion of legacy IDLs to the new IDL spec.

Yes, everything has tradeoffs but the ones needed to make TEEs work for most things in DeCC are so massive they make using them pointless in the first place:
Oasis only allows "trusted operator partners" to run nodes with actual TEEs in them. What does the "De" in DeCC stand
TEEs are really cool and useful tech
The negativity they get on crypto twitter has strong "perfection is the enemy of good" vibes
Everything has tradeoffs. The more tools at our disposal the better when scaling/securing blockchains and their peripheral components 🚀
